idunnonymoreParticipantTell me who you think is gonna better.I think derrick will be.
derrick 10 - Posted on: Mon, 07/12/2010 - 9:51am #352577
IndianaBasketballParticipantIt’s tough to say right now.
There isn’t much separating Derrick Rose, Russell Westbrook and John Wall ability wise. I think all three will be great and who’s better will be a matter of opinion… Similar to Deron Williams and Chris Paul.
When you think about Williams, Paul, Rajon Rondo, Rose, Westbrook and Wall… The point guard position is going to be exciting and competitive for the next decade.

LawDeeZeeParticipanti have to take d. rose on this one, i’m really high on him right now … i think this will be the year he truly reaches that superstar level — john wall (minus the turnover’s) looked tremendous last night in summer league though, I definately expect him to learn to keep those down as he adjusts to the NBA game, he has a ton of potential as well, but i just see d rose as closer to reaching his potential right now

kanebangerParticipanti think rose might have a slight advantage on athleticism but i think wall will be the better passer rose might score a little more though. who really knows we will see in time!

IndianaBasketballParticipantRose looks like he could be a dominate scorer and closer… A better scorer than a playmaker. Westbrook looks like he could be a Jason Kidd type of all-around point guard… Walking triple double and great defender.
John Wall looks like he could be somewhere in between them… The best of both worlds.
It’ll be fun seeing them all get better and compete against each other. I forgot to throw Brandon Jennings in the group too.

Bryant24ParticipantI like wall alot but rose improve every year whatever you have to say negative bout him is thrown out the window he’s a 3 point shot away from greatness

idunnonymoreParticipantI think Derrick gonna be the best point what seperates him imo from westbrook is that westbrook is much more turnoverprone . And John wall is more like westbrook imo.none can shoot threes very good at all.plus derrick has that clutch. and as you saw in the elite 8 john wall did terrible against west virginia.i just think that wall and westbrooks games are a liitle to erratic imean wall can only play at two speeds walking and running full speed

MuggsyParticipantIf I needed a franchise PG and those were my only two choices, I’d go Rose. However I’m more of a Rondo/Westbrook fan because I love D.

IndianaBasketballParticipantIF I had to choose, I’d pick Rose as well.
I think we’ll see more of his playmaking ability this season… I expect his assists to go up to 7-8 per game.
Exciting though… Rose, Rondo, Wall and Jennings will compete against each other four times per year and probably meet in the playoffs as well.

wall 00 - Posted on: Mon, 07/12/2010 - 10:27am #352611
duhrant35ParticipantWall is the better point guard. If you put him on a team with a good scorer that plays in transition, watch out for 20-13 or something like that. With all due respect to rose, ill take wall.

StF616ParticipantI Think Wall Will Be Better
Of course He Still Has To Control His Turnovers
But if you Put Westbrook in the conversation id take westbrook
I really think Westbrook will get maybe 18-9-6 in his prime?
hes a good defender, and with Kevin Durant i believe they will be a championship contender for alot of years to come0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/12/2010 - 11:15am #352664
ZeroParticipantCan’t really judge anything yet since Wall hasn’t played an official NBA game yet. However I love both of them and I’m going with Rose because as of now he’s a better player, but that could change.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantI’d take Rose right now as well.
But I gotta say I think Stephen Curry will be in the mix in a few years. I think in his prime Curry will average around 23 PPG, 8 APG and 2.4 SPG. I think he will be among the steals leaders for the next 5-7 years and will be among the best shooters in the league (if not the absolute best) for the next decade

Demarcus OnealParticipantWall hasnt played in an nba regular season game so you cant compare an all-star to a rookie yet to play in the nba
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/12/2010 - 3:52pm #352876
B-ball fanParticipantI think he is a better scorer and he is better in the half court, although I think Wall will become a better passer, or at least be a better one sooner. They are both really close, though. Any team would be happy to have either of them.

JNixonParticipantRose has better ability to dictate pace than Wall and Westbrook, and is much more under control than they are. He also (Wall is almost there) is the better shooter of the 3, but none have much range on their shots. I also think Rose is the better athlete and the strongest of the 3. Rose is also a better ball-handler of the 3.
Westbrook and Wall are probably more aggressive than Rose, which is a blessing and curse. Both are also much more turnover prone.
Westbrook is the best defender.
Wall is the most physically gifted of the 3, and he’s also probably the fastest too. Also probably the most clutch and the best finisher around the rim.
Long-terms, my order would be:
Derrick Rose
John Wall
Russell Westbrook0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/12/2010 - 4:47pm #352924
OhCanada-ParticipantWall is looking for the fashy play all the time. Rose stays within himself, doesnt force things…One is a risk taker one is moderate.
