Wow.

I swear to god, these overrating of prospects tends to get ridiculous at times.

Jesus. Wiggins, Shabazz Muhammaud, and Jabari Parker have all been called "The best prospect since Lebron"

People really need to watch at least on year of college ball before judgments are made.

Remember when people were calling Austin Rivers "The next OJ Mayo"? Look how that turned out.

Comparisons are always the

Comparisons are always the most optimistic possible. Tall raw and athletic? you will be Tyson Chandler. Skilled tall and not athletic? Al Jefferson. Good shooter and athletic? Ray Allen. Good passer and athletic? Iggy. It goes on and on.

KD

You know he is comparing him to a high school Durant. This may be accurate, but Durant has progressed a lot. He isn't saying he will be like Durant is now, he's saying he has similarities to a young KD. A high school KD would probably not excel in the league, so it's not saying Giannis is going to be the next huge star. I doubt he has the drive, passion, and work ethic that KD has, which is what made him into who he is now.

I really like what I see in

I really like what I see in Giannis but the biggest difference to me is his shot, KD's shot is what makes him so special and G's shot is probably his weakness. I love G's handles and they may be better than KD's at the same age but how hard G is willing to work will probalbly determine how good he can become. As a Jazz fan I'd love it if G was available at 21 so the Jazz could take him at that point of the draft.

Joey Dorsey?

Who really cares what Joey Dorsey thinks? Sure he looks like Durant in a league that isn't the NBA, but that's completely different. Also, reminding you of Durant is a lot different than being Durant. His style of play and lanky body drive people to make this comparison. Not saying that this kid can't be a really good player, but it's tough to compare him to a top 2 player in the league already. I guess the takeaway here is that a comparison does not mean that they expect that player to equal the stats and accomplishments of the player they are compared to. Just the style of play is similar most of the time.

He averaged 9.5 points and 5

He averaged 9.5 points and 5 rebounds in Greek A2 League. How in the hell did you come to the conclusion that he is the Durant of that league?

Please just STOP.

Relax

Relax, I didn't say he was the Durant of that league. All I was saying was that his comparison is inflated in a league that isn't the NBA. I know he is playing in a good league, but it's just not fair to him to be compared to Durant so early on. He could be a great player, he just needs less pressure in his early career.

The comparison ends after the

The comparison ends after the height, length and ball skills. But that combination is still a good starting point for an 18 y/o prospect. He is very skilled with the ball and shows good court sense and vision with the ball in his hands.

It's hard to evaluate Giannis

It's hard to evaluate Giannis when he is playing at level below NCAA Division 1.

Giannis

What seperates Giannis from Austin Daye at this point? Is he a possible floor comparison? I have been super hyped on the Giannis all year, but i seen a tweet from Royce Young, that Daye is the same build as KD, only 10% the player, and it hit me, chances are that is what Giannis turns out to be i think :(
