JoeWolf Mock 1.0
I've taken a bit of time to put out my first one. I'm sure it will change a lot over the next few weeks, but here it is. Feedback positive and negative is welcome and I'd be glad to explain why I put certain players where.
Good job. I think Milwaukee will take a PF though. There will still be some very good ones to pick out of since this draft is full of them
Thanks man, Yeah I hear you, I almost put Udoh there to the Bucks, but I figured if George slipped to 15 they wouldn't pass him up. He can play 2 and 3 which give him some value at that pick, but you're right they need some help at PF, If Udoh is on the board I could see him going there or Daniel Orton who I don't particualrly like, but his upside is obvious.
Yeah. If Salmons decides to leave then they might be forced to take a wing. I can also see George going that high or higher because his stock is quicly rising. however, if Salmons stays It would be very cool to see Jennings with Salmons on the perimeter and Bogut with udoh, Orton or whoever on his side. Really, it all depends opn Salmons...I really like the mock though, I had to nit pic to find something to comment on..very good
Thanks man, I appreciate it
One thing I think I know i'll get a little crap for, because there are some fans of his on this site and that is no Charles Garcia, but I think his combine performance and poor shooting drills sealed his fate. I don't think his upside is quite what people thought it was a few months ago and I think he is now a priority free agent and he'll have to impress in summer leagues or work his way up through the D-League to find his way into the league.
I only really looked at the top 10 picks, and I think they're really good. Infact, you and I are identical on 8 of them. I think your first 7 are spot on, then the Babbit pick, is a bit iffy.... but I get it--it may happen. However, I'll be completey shocked if the Jazz go with Aldrich. They need a big center, and 6-9 and 230 isn't going to cut it. I think the fans in Utah would revolt. I think the only way the Jazz go with the center is if Cousins falls to them (very unlikely!) or they fall in love with Whiteside. Otherwise look out for the Jazz to go with Patterson, Udoh, Monroe, or Babbit (if available). At 10, I like the Patterson pick. If Utah and the Clips pass on him he has a great shot of going with the Pacers. That's all I have.
I think Ed Davis and Damion James are a little high but besides that i think it great.
I can guarantee you the Wolves won't draft Johnson straight up, if anything, in a worst case scenario, they'll take Cousins and trade him to SAC for Johnson and another piece like Jason Thompson.
i think you got pondexter slipping too low. ALmost every site i have visited recently has him 1st round and even this site moved him up to 25 despite being low on him all along. ALso, it is rumored him passing up the combine was a sign there was a 1st round promise to him. That guy has the skills to help a team right away so i dont see him slipping to 38
hahahahahahaahha... my man joewolf... You got X at 17!!!! Wow... We got the same player for the Bulls... I hope they get him... anyways, great mock...
This is a great early mock. The best I've seen so far.
Thanks for the feedback guys
and Fizer...Gotta love X at 17! who said you can't throw a little wishful thinking in a mock! haha
Wes Johnson to Minnesota is iffy...
Everything else is cool with me. Great mock. One of the best I've seen.
Finally, someone else who has Brackins in the first round. How will this guy not be a first round pick?
There will definitely be some disappointed players. Plenty of guys are borderline first round picks. Stephenson, Crawford seem like first round picks to me. I could see White, Warren, Seraphin, and/or Lawal slipping to early 2nd.
That is one of the very best mocks I've seen in a while. Good job JoeWolf
Joe, I agree with Mr. 6000, I think you did an excellent job. However, I cannot believe you have one of my favorite draft sleepers, Luke Harangody, going at number 44. I've said this before and I'll say it again, nobody can tell me there are 43 draft eligible players better than Luke Harangody.
I will be very surprised if doesn't go at the very end of the first, or very early in the 2nd round. He is a future solid, dependable role player. And if he goes to the right team, he should become an integral part of the bench with even more playing time than I expected.
