Just like the T Wolves the Celtics are interested in Butler

    http://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/report-celtics-might-deal-no-3-pick-in-trade-for-bulls-star-jimmy-butler/

In a guard dominate league Bradly is 1st team all defense, still only 25 and is on a very favorable contract. He also averaged 15 ppg on a playoff team. Bradley and the 3rd overall pick is a nice start to a Butler trade

Boston can’t let a team out bid them for a star, Butler would be a nice fit in Boston. Ainge knows who KD would perfer to play with, I wouldn’t be surprised if Butler was on that list

So the Celtics would want to trade Bradley – a 25 all defensive player who averaged 15 ppg on a playoff team – AND the No. 3 pick, plus probably more for Butler.

As a Wolves fan, I say I hope they offer that. It would take us out of the running and I’d be okay with that. I’m not sure I’d want to do that if I’m Boston.

I guess if push comes to shove, you do it with this draft. There’s not a great player at 3 and Bradley is what he is. He’s a good role player and a very good defender but he’s not scoring at a high enough clip to change games in the playoffs.

It would depend on how much more they offered but that’s not a bad deal I guess.

Bradley is a good player and the pick is valuable but unfortunately you have to give up good assets to get good players.

I think Boston is a real possible destination for KD, Celtics need to go all out to attract him

So they’d be trading Butler in hopes of signing Durant?

C’s are dreaming huge if that’s the case.

If they can pull off a deal for Butler, the next guy they’d need to try to go get would be a center like a Whiteside or Howard I’d think. Giving either guy a big deal would scare me but if you get a big like that, Boston could become the third best team in the East.

    Thomas-Crowder-Butler-Johnson-Whiteside

    Turner-Olynyk-Smart-Sullinger

Not a bad group. Plus a handful of draft picks. That’s a team that could win for a while too as most of that core is young and controllable.

Doubt that Sullinger will be back….he’s a RFA and a logical candidate for a sign and trade, particulary if Sabonis is there for the C’s at 16

IF the Celtics have the 16th Pick and a shot at a guy like Sabonis, Davis, Poeltl or Maker they will certainly be keeping their pick…

        Don’t think anyone wants Sully in a S & T

Bulls would want that pick as well in any Butler trade. I think the Celtics has the best assets to make a trade for Butler. As a Bulls fan I wouldn’t mind having some picks, young guys and a player like Bradley for Butler. But again it all depends on the "genius" minds of the Gar-Pax duo, and we all know how they "love" to make trades to upgrade the roster (sarcasm alert). I don’t think the Wolves would make a trade with us because the asking price is too high for Butler (depending on how bad Thibs wants him).

Rubio, Butler, Wiggins, KAT, Dieng – Fill the bench in via FA. Yeah Im all in. That is a playoff team.

#5, Lavine, Shabazz for Butler. I would be all over that. I would even give up 2017 first rounder if I had to. I know bold! But I would think this team would be around 8 seed. Making the pick not that valuable anyway.

Mostly I would do this becuase KAT is prbly a top 10 player next year. If I had a chance to bring in top tier talent I would take it.

Getting Butler regardless of getting KD is still a good thing. But the chances of getting Durant definitely gets better by having a great 2 way player in Butler already on the team.

But if I am Boston, why not look to sign Derozan ( not as good as Butler, but younger) which would enable Boston to keep their 3rd pick. Still go after KD of course. I would then consider using or trading that pick for Okafor or just draft BPA.

Boston has so many possibilities, it really makes my head spin thinking about it,

Now getting Butler is a major coup for Boston. This guy is one of the best players in the East and has his 5 best years in front of him.

Bradley and #3 is a small price to pay for Butler

If you were the Bulls which Option would you want?

    A. #5, Lavine and Shabazz

    B. #3, Bradley and RJ Hunter

May be unpopular opinion, but of those two I take Lavine, Shabazz and #5. While Bradley is the better role player, and would be great for a team like the Thunder…. For the Bulls who need to reset after losing Butler, I would Take Lavine (higher upside, fill seats) and Murray or Dunn.

Lavine and Murray or Dunn could all play well together and be back court of future. Been hearing rumors of trading Rose, if they could get a pick or young front court player to build around this is the way I would look to go.

Of that option, easily the minny deal. Bradley is the type of player thats pretty useless on a rebuilding team, which is what the bulls would be.

But Boston would have to kick in more than rj hunter. More like jae crowder or marcus smart. And in that scenario i’d still take levine and #5

Lavine is probably the most value of either trade option.  Lavine has a solid an excellent chance of being a meaningful starter in this league.

The Celtics have so many picks coming their way, they can trump any bid that virtually any other team offers, any Butler trade would be built around 3rd pick and they could add another pick or two if needed.

The idea of them getting KD isn’t like when the big 3 were put together in 2007, this is already 48 win team so the selling point to KD should be, come to us and we can be the best out East, we have a great shot of making the finals each year. If they can add Butler then the appeal increases. Also having those Nets picks up their sleeve gives the chance to add a future very high pick or two in 2017 and 2018 so it could give KD and Butler a top young running mate which could widen the team’s contending span.

The Nets picks are not 1 but TWO potential overall #1 picks in the next 2 drafts. The Nets are set up to be on Sixers status. You dont trade those picks AT ALL. The C’s own first round picks are enough.
