Jimmy Butler for the #3 Pick? (Article Inside)

Fair trade? I would ask for a little bit more if I'm Chicago, knowing all the assets the Celtics have. basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/246319/Celtics-Hope-To-Trade-No-3-To-Bulls-For-Jimmy-Butler

I feel like the Sixers would

I feel like the Sixers would have explored this option and included Okafor and future Lakers/Kings picks...

76ers may have been able to

76ers may have been able to use this potential trade as leverage when negotiating with Ainge.

it is my feeling that this

it is my feeling that this will happen. Ainge had his sights set on this for awhile. Boston might have to give up the 3 and the 1st rounder they aquired from philly for Chicago to agree, but they might be able to get away with giving up only 1 of those picks probably the 3 this year if Aingle is willing to part with one of the players that he doesn't want to part with coming into the negotiations like Bradley,Brown or Smart. I think it's a foregone conclusion that Crowder would be part of the deal and Chicago probably would also demand Brown and Smart if Ainge is set on keeping Bradley and the future from philly.

at the end of the day I see Ainge trading Crowder,Bradley & Zeller along with the #3 pick and the 2019 1st from Memphis to Chicago for Butler,Valentine & the 16th pick

Or if Jackson falls to 3 they might just keep him. and try to deal the philly pick and other futures along with players for Bulter and Chicago will tell them to eatshitandie

Question: If the Bulls

Question: If the Bulls offered Butler to the Sixers for #3, why aren't they offering that to the Celtics immediately. You can't tell me they don't want Butler on the C's. The fact that their trading him in general lets us know the Bulls are in rebuild mode and will be years from contending. If this deal doesn't get done by tomorrow, I'd be seriously confused.

Jimmy Butler does not help Celtics

Jaylen Brown is going no where in a Butler trade. I do not view Jimmy as worth that pic.

yeah and you probably didnt

yeah and you probably didnt think ainge would pass up Fultz either.

these young players are just pawn on a chess board if it gets him an allstar caliber 2 way player . Yeah I doubt Brown is getting moved, but Chicago might demand it for the deal to get done.

If they can net Butler and

If they can net Butler and sign Hayward then all of this is worth it. Butler is an all-star wing. Their team is comprised of players in their mid-late 20's who are trying to win today. Butler and Hayward fit that and their team becomes a contender.

MN could offer a better deal

I can see MN offering LaVine and the 7th pick, and maybe even throw in Rubio. Which would be a lot better deal than just the 3rd pick.

It's being reported now that

It's being reported now that the Cavs, Suns, and Wolves are all in the mix for Butler. I'm pretty sure that this is being leaked from Chicago to try to get Boston to bite on giving up the pick. It can't be a coincidence that all 3 reports came out within a 10 minute span all from different people (Woj, Stein, KCJ)

Not East division teams

I highly doubt the Bulls would trade Butler to any East division teams that they would have to play several times a year and compete with to get into the playoffs. That's why I also think there is a better chance of him coming to MN with the right deal.

Not blown away by Fultz

I wanted him to trade down. Jackson can play 1 -4 on offense and defense. HIM ANX BROWN WORK FINE. Anthony Davis is in discussion then everyone is available. Paul George is rent a player too, no thanks.
