Forget it Jazz fans…The Kings Will Select Jimmer at number 7…Former Kings coach Jerry Reynolds was raving on a radio talk show about how much fun it’ll be watching Jimmer and Tyreke Evans in the same backcourt….

You suggested Locke may have home town bias, but if he does, than that sounds horrible for Jimmer. His analysis concluded that he will make SOME shots, and that’s about it. Not a PG, can’t finish at the rim and won’t be able to draw fouls the same way he did in college. Given that most 12th picks don’t pan out very well, (some exceptions, Nick Collison in recent memory worked out well as regular rotation player), then he wouldn’t be bad there at 12 since he can be an impact bench guy. I think with his hype and doing well in workouts that he could move up before 12. But I’m not sold on him, the whole "BYU asked him not to play defense" only came out when people criticized him and it was hurting his draft stock, it wasn’t something that was said before hand. Every coach wants their players to go high in the draft cause it makes them look well, so of course his coaches will say whatever it takes to make him look better.

I think he can be a Kyle Korver type defender, he will hustle in the NBA to prove people wrong and will occassionaly make a play, but he’s not going to be someone you want on the floor in crunch time if you need defense. The same way the Mavs use Barrea when they need offense and take him out when they need defense, or what the Jazz did with Kyle Korver when he was in Utah.
