Aaron Brooks signs with my Kings. Is that what it took for Jimmer to go for 30? Lol shame shame. Looks like a reality check for the youngster. Can’t wait to see the outcome this season.

I have to go back and finish watching that game, when I saw the first part of the game, he still wasnt playing well, he was getting all of his points from the line (where he rarely misses).  Wasnt getting teammates involved, making unforced turnovers, but I only watched the 1st quarter.

I dont think scoring 30 in SL does it for Jimmer, they want to how he operates as a PG, from what I have seen, still not very good.  He is not a PG.  He can only hope to be a Steve Kerr/John Paxon type.

There were easy passes he could of made, there are times the offense was dysfunctional and he did little to help. He did what he is supposed to do as an SG, and that was score. It means nothing to me, simply because the experiment was Jimmer as a PG. And he is not a PG, hell Robinson had more assist than Jimmer did (3!!).  Jimmer is a shooter, nothing more, nothing less. The reason why I’m saying he’ll get lost on the depth chart is because he’s fighting against Reke and thornton for minutes at the SG spot. And even if he got a slight look at the PG spot which is unthinkable, lolol he’s facing Thomas and Aaron brooks for minutes. So his 30 points in a summer league game mean nothing to me. Especially since they still lost the game.

    I’M JS…

he still made poor mistakes at times and too many turnovers.  The difference is he hit a couple shots still wasn’t very consistent but did play better than the previous two games.  I don’t think he is completely a lost cause however he needs to get more consistent shooting when being defended by bigger defenders and improve his decision making skills.  He can get his shot off but it seems like he is trying to move to fast for himself.  If he hits his shots people aren’t getting on him so really if he can figure these couple things out he can still be a decent backup/role player

I doubt the Brooks signing had anything to do with it.  But there’s no doubt Jimmer has been terrible.  That’s painful for me to say–I’m a big fan of the kid.  Tonight’s performance really changed nothing unfortunately.  I have seen no sign he can be a 1.  He’s a combo off the bench.  That’s who he is at this point.

When is Jimmer going to morph into Steve Nash?  Knicks could use a shooter but have no room or money to make a deal.  I wonder if Miami try to get him.

Jimmer got boned when he was drafted by the kings and unfortunately is going to have to wait until another team swoops him up for us to see the player Jimmer is going to develop into. Sacs attempt to convert Jimmer into a point guard is a mistake because it oversteps his capabilities as a player. Jimmer is a undersized 2, who cannot direct an offense, he’s a defensive liability, struggles against tight ball pressure defense, and is not yet adept at moving without the ball to generate scoring opportunities for himself or others, however he is an explosive albeit streaky shooter with the deepest shooting range in the nba today, jimmer also has a adequate driving game and posecess a nice array of offensive moves(except posting up which he should definately develop). I think Jimmer is going to wind up being a very similar player to Eddie House, both were undersized 2s incapable of defending or running an offense but were capable of coming off the bench and being a perimeter shooting threat that at times could sway games with explosive yet streaky shooting. hopefully sac will move Jimmer and Tyrekin Havoc and acquire a defensive minded veteran big or two, resign Terrance Williams, and pickup a defensive minded wing with legit 3pt range and they would be a competent team who could compete admirably against top teams but ultimately be a lottery team. Sorry if this is a long post I’m super stony at the moment and rifting on the kings.

He gets in the lane and is scared to be hit. He could open up his outside game if he would just stop being scared. Cant handle the PG at all wich I thought he could do serviceable but Nope. Can be effective in the right system but sucks on d wich will cost him minutes.

I thought it wasnt the best fit when they drafted Jimmer in terms of teams need. I did however think that he was the righ type of guard to play with Tyureke, a la a Steve Kerr/Paxon (both had far superior point guard ability however). I just envisioned him playing off Tyreke as a floor spreader also creating space for DMC to operate.

I dont think hell ever develop into an elite point guard but he would be much better in a real game . Summer league guards are too hungry. scrappy n fiesty for him, as they had sdo much at stake?

…Or maybe it was him seeing a bunch of floor slapping whities back on the court with him that ignited the 30.

He’ll definitely stick in the NBA, but probably more of an Eddie House type.  I’d like to see him develop into a point, but I don’t think it will happen.
