IndianaBasketballParticipantBad time to ask about Jeremy Lin… He’s absolutely KILLING his team tonight. The Rockets have been better with Patrick Beverly on the floor.
He’s probably top 25-30. I think Lin is a borderline starter. Honestly, he’d probably be best as a backup.

Dr.RedParticipantI’d have a hard time putting him in the top 25. Had Lin not been on a desperate Knicks’ squad, I doubt he even gets a guaranteed deal this past summer. Dude is a solid backup PG, but definitely not a who you would want as a starter. Kendrick Perkins is looking like a better PG tonight than Lin!

R-Dot-13ParticipantHe probably is in the 25-30 range. He does have some good games, but he’d probably be a really really good backup. He’s a fringe starter, which is really a lot better than he must have expected before “Linsanity” happened.

SmooveKRYPTParticipantHe’s down around 30. The only starting PGs I’d take him over are Chalmers & Collison…maybe Isiah. but a few teams have 2 better than him (GS, Denver, ATL, LAC?) the Harden trade saved Houston from looking reeealy bad

RickyRubio9ParticipantI’d put him over Chalmers, Collison, Hinrich, Thomas, Teague, Knight, Nash and maybe Mo Williams.
I’m factoring in age and potential. Nash, if healthy is obviously better and like I said I’m pushing hard to put him over Mo Williams.If anything he’s at least in the 20-25 range. You can make cases for Teague and Knight.

SmooveKRYPTParticipantI’ll give you Mo Williams. I didn’t count Hinrich because of Rose or Knight because Calderon took that job, but I agree with those. However no way I’d take him over Teague.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantThe Rockets are Harden’s team IMO and they should try to trade Lin to any team that wants him and his huge contract. Maybe some team with a huge Asian fan base will see the use in Lin because he has none as a real basketball player.

TallmanNYCParticipant20 to 25 sounds about right. But potential is much higher. He is a very nice passer, plenty athletic, has no trouble taking his man off the dribble. His stats are a little misleading because he played the first half of the season recovering from knee injury and he also doesn’t have the ball in his hands as much with Harden on his team. It is telling that he dropped 38 on the Spurs in one of the games where Harden sat. If Harden wasn’t on the team, they would probably run pick and rolls with Lin all the time and Lin would be averaging 20 and 10, no doubt. Though, of course, the Rockets would probably be 32 and 50 and be sitting at home right now.

bdiddy5115ParticipantI’ve said it before, Lin’s an average starter overall, but because of the deep talent pool at the PG spot, he’s slightly below average at his position. He’s just way too inconsistent – one day he’ll look like a very good PG, and the next he’ll lose all of his confidence and struggle to do anything positive whatsoever (see: Game 1 vs OKC).
