Although he is 6’5” do you think he can be a Dorell Wright type especially with his length & massive 7-foot + wing span

Well he’s a flat out scorer. Average ball handling and can spot up and knock down the 3 ball.

My comparison is JR Smith but will end up better after spending 2 or 3 years in college

I honestly don’t see Smith in him……Smith is a pure athlete who happens to have a J out this world when on. Hell even if he ain’t on his J still Nemo.

    At best:  Richard Hamilton

I’ve been saying this since mid season.

If he doesn’t pan out to be like Richard Hamilton, I think Christopher Douglas Roberts is a perfect comparison.

For those who remember him in his prime Lamb reminds me a bit of Cuttino Mobley. Many also didn’t realize that desipte being 6-4′ Mobley had a 6-10′ wingspan to go with that silky smooth shooting.

hadn’t really watched him much till today, but he’s been impressive tonight. Looks like a Rip Hamilton and Corey Brewer mix. He’s got a good mid-range game but also has range and he has that long length and great defensive presence like Brewer.

^^ Deng is 6-9′ and has always been sneaky strong, they don’t even play the same position so not sure I understand that comparison.

I personally see alot of Brandon Rush in him, but he actually has a respectable handle. He’s a long-armed guy who has a decent mid-range shot and handle, but he’s not going to be a great scorer. I think he’s a defender with some ability to get you some points spotting up, or ideally off 2 dribbles, and in transition.

don’t know about that, Brandon Rush is unquick player who is mostly a spot up shooter, as for Lamb i see him as more complete offensive player, as a smooth, quick offensive scorer with pure stroke, open floor finisher and also with talent to become a player who make plays off the dribble and gets to the basket occasionally. i’ll say that right now defense is his number 1 must improve thing even if he gets steals, need better understanding and to give better effort overall.

lamb is a bit smaller than Gay but they play the same way. both good mid range scorers and slashers. decent outside game for both. long, athletic, and good defensively. i know this is a stretch but they look the same when they are on the court. they have the same flow and style of play. lamb probably won’t ever be as good as gay but its a similar styler

Lamb’s outside game improved as the season went along, and he seems to be consistent with that mid range floater and likes to run. He also made key defensive plays in the NCAA tournament. I agree that he is in the mold of Rip Hamilton.

You can see some of his highlights in the UConn video:

He’s longer, but I see a lot of Kerry Kittles in his game.

Making the prediction now, Lamb will win Big East player of the year and will be a top 5 draft pick

Right now he reminds me of Rudy Fernendez a bit except with a better midrange game.
