The Jazz where finally able to break a 17 game losing streak in L.A.  Hayward did his thing tonight. he had 22points 6 and 5. And Favors had 14 and 11. Both their best game as a Jazz players.

Take Hayward and Favors, plus two lotto picks this year to go along with Al and Millsap and you have a pretty great young core, especially if those two lotto picks are guards.

Wow, Great win for the Jazz. Great performance from the rookies Hayward and Favors. I am very happy and for once this season, I am proud to be a Jazz fan. This season has been extremely hard to watch and way below my expectations, but I’m glad they got this win when I thought they would get blown out.  But last night’s was won because the Jazz made the extra pass. The passes were crisp and clean, and it finally looked Jazz basketball that we have been so used to seeing over the past few years. Now just keep it up, Utah and lets win these last 4. Please do not end the season below the .500 mark.

I have had my rap with Hayward all season long and I always thought the Jazz should have picked Paul George. But today Hayward showed me something and he impressed me. I still have my doubts about and I still wouldn’t start him full time but coming off the bench will be a nice commodity in the future. kobyz, If you are looking for someone to compare Hayward to, here’s my conclusion from a Jazz fan who watches his every single game, a lot more than you probably do. I read a re-cap of this game, and their Kobe said himself that Hayward reminds of a more talented Jeff Hornacek. To me he’s across between a Mike Dunleavy and Kyle Korver. He does not remind me of John Salmons at all.

I love our young core of Favors, and Hayward and then three experienced veterans in Jefferson, Millsap and Harris. Its to bad Harris has been out for like 6 or 7 games straight because of a strained hamstring but next season he’ll come back and be ready to help shoulder load. All the Jazz need now is a 2 guard like Alec Burks and a 3 to replace AK since he probably won’t be resigned this offseason. 2 good players I am thinking of are Jan Vesely and Terrence Jones. Like I have said before, the Jazz can get by with Harris as their starting PG for now. You don’t need a great PG to be a good team in this league. There are tons of playoff teams that have mediocre PG’s and still manage to make the playoffs. The Jazz will make the playoffs next year if they do not throw away their draft picks. Probably a 6-8 seed but that’s not bad after having a dismal season this year. And then in 2012, the Jazz have the Warriors pick and they can pick their star PG like Myck Kabongo or Kendall Marshall (who reminds me of John Stockton). If the Jazz do not throw their two lottery picks away this year, they will make the playoffs next season. You heard it here first.

Oops should have looked before  made a similar thread. hyward outworked Kobe last night and it was epic. He played great. Even with Kobe getting those cheap Kobe calls, Hayward kept plugging and attacked the rim with somethin fierce.

Milsap needs to improve his ball handling, but we might see him at the 3 quite a bit next year. He will need to to make more room for Favors. Ive heard the Jazz wont offer A.K. much money to resign here, since he’s aging and ininjuy prone.
