As much as it sucks losing Hayward, it seems like the Jazz still have a really bring future, especially if Favors can stay healthy. They’ve still got Iso Joe and Gobert.

I really like their backcourt over the next 5 years in Exum, Williams-Goss, Mitchell and whatever Rubio can give them.

I could see Rubio and Exum starting.  Mitchell will see more time as the season progresses. He has a nice all around game, my comp would be a mashup of Marcus Smart and Terry Rosier.

Starting 5 could go a number of different ways.  I would begin the year with Rubio, Exum, Ingles, Favors and Gobert.  Gives you Iso Joe, Hood and Mitchell off the bench.  I could also see Exum being the 6th man.  Jazz have a good mix youth and vets, they should be able to match up with most teams in the league without getting exposed in any one area.  I am curious to see how Hayward’s 21ppg are distributed.  I have a feeling Gobert will be drafted very early in my fantasy league.

I like Williams-Goss but I refrain on getting high on undrafted players because more often than not, they get stuck on their team’s benches over vets and higher draft picks even if they deserve playing time. Williams-Goss sure as hell isn’t getting any minutes under Coach Snyder, and I soubt it he’ll still be in the NBA in 5 years.

One guy Jazz fans should be high about though is Rodne Hood. He won the starting job over staple Alec Burks just in his rookie year. Last year, he was putting up around 18ppg before he suffered that scary knee injur and was never the same. Hood is the definiton of a scorer. Great footwork and balance on pull-ups and fadeaways. Has an array of shots that he can get over defenses. He also is a decent athlete. I’d say he’ll be Utah’s top scorer next season. 20ppg at least.

Utah is working on a sign and trade to get Crowder from the Celtics. That’s definitely moving on and getting something in return for the departed all-star. I am really pulling for this sign and trade to happen. Starting Lineup I want to see next year:
    PG: Rubio, Mitchell, Neto
SG: Exum, Ingles (6th man), Burks
SF: Crowder, Hood (might start once his knee heals, so in reality this order is interchangeable)
    PF: Favors, Johnson, Bolomboy
    C: Gobert, Withey, Bradley

Jazz should look to waive Diaw’s contract before the 15th in order to get them under the cap. They have no need for him after they traded Lyles on Draft day. Bolomboy looked alright his rookie season, and is doing well in summer league and I’d like to see him get a few more minutes his sophomore as their third PF. Same with Bradley, he’s looking good in summer league and should get some time in both G-league and a couple minutes as their third Center. Bolomboy, Bradley and Williams-Goss will be seeing a lot of G-league next year. But I think towards the end of the season, both Bolomboy and Bradley will have a contract. Exum is tearing it up in summer league as he should, and I hope he can become next year’s MIP.
