sa124mvpParticipantLook, I know he’s projected to go top 5, but I still feel like Jayson Tatum is being severely underrated. I think theres a very good chance he ends up being the best player to come out of this draft class. His size, athleticism, shooting, playmaking ability and defense all translates to the league seamlessly, plus his isolation game is already extremely polished. He reminds me a bit of Paul George, and I think he can reach his level of play, and more. The skys the limit for this kid. Hes also proven tonight he extremely clutch. I can’t wait to see him in the league.

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantHow good is Duke right now… The ability to have Grayson Allen and Harry Giles Coke off the bench is huge. I will have the in the final 4 in my bracket.

Sewok15ParticipantThe more I watch Tatum the more I do like him and that is saying something as an avid Duke hater but I don’t see him as the top talent in this quality draft. I see him as more of a scorer with an average game outside his isolation skills.
I think his scoring potential could make potentially make him a top 3 player in this draft but best is pushing it in my mind.

holefillers1ParticipantI think he is better than Ingram was last year. I comped him to Paul Pierce at the beginning of the season. Not sure that is the best comp for him anymore but his skill set suggests he will be a volume scorer with some vision and a little bit of defense. He isn’t overly athletic nor is he that long but he can handle the ball well enough to initiate offense, can dribble drive and pull up. Danny Granger seems fair to me. Shane Barrier would make him a bust although I would take Shane’s defense.

jabbar_medvedenkoParticipantI like the Paul Pierce/Carmelo/Joe Johnson/Granger comparison, all of them being great isolation scorers. I can see where they’re going a little bit with those Battier comps as they’re both smart, well-spoken, from Duke, and being similar from the size/athleticism/position standpoint. I think that their games, their style of play are just different, Tatum’s ceiling appears to be much higher because his game is so advanced for a 19 year old.
The only knock on him is that he’s not a jump-out-of-the-gym type of athlete, but you can live with that. He’s so smooth and can really do damage, already scoring 20+ regularly.
They might not be the best, but him and Ball are my favorite two prospects in the draft right now. Wouldn’t be mad if LA considered drafting him instead of Josh Jackson at No. 3 (if they got the pick), although I really like both prospects. I think he ends up a top 5 player in this class if not better.

Lotto StudParticipantHe’s nowhere near close to Iso Joe in comparison.

Taylor Gang MikeParticipantTatum has really came on as of late. He started the season slow and wasnt in game form, partly due to the injury. He is now confident and really playing great. He has a Paul George type game. I could see him being a solid 3 for any team.

TarHeelRavenParticipantI don’t think Tatum is underrated. He’ll be a top five pick and have a long career in the NBA. Gifted scorer, no overly explosive, but he is what I would refer to as a "smooth" athlete. I really like the kids game. Good rebounder and passer. He’s the complete package.

r377ParticipantI know all the mocks have Fultz as the number 1 pick but I have Fultz, Ball, Jackson and Tatum in the top tier – anyone of them could go number 1
