lalailaParticipantBen Simmons is so far easily number one,,BUT it’s not done yet, while he looks so unique Jaylen looks just next in the lane after of those many SG/SF anywhere from 6’6-6’8 220-240 flashy superstar scorers..
he plays only 24minutes per game and is just getting started, but his per36 stats are almost 25ppg 9rpg.
and the athleticism for such a strong looking at this age kid is something special

negguaryParticipantbut without Ben showing he is willing to or can shoot at all I’m not closing the door on jaylen going 1. He’s just that good! Physical, can shoot , handles the ball great, gets to the basket, capable facilitator and plays amazing defense.

ScarTissue98ParticipantTop 3 picks are Simmons, Murray & Brown & I’m not sure what order they will go…. Brown has an incredible package of skills…. He’s going to be an incredible NBA Talent…..

NJHooper95ParticipantTalent level is off the charts, definitely top 5 pick. Simmons is great but it’s hard to be great in the league if you can’t or not willing to shoot from the perimeter if your are a wing player.

Arc12345ParticipantHe played at a rival high school of mine. Obviously I was long gone before he transferred to Wheeler as I’m almost 3 years older than him, so I never saw him up close and personal.
I’ve watched many highlights and I must say I initially thought Jimmy Butler but even more explosive, but now I’m thinking Dwayne Wade plus 3 inches. Dear lord.

BallerScriptParticipantDwayne "Flash" Wade plus 3 inches!!! R.I.P to all wing players in the nba next season!

MopgrassParticipantHe’s in my top 3 no matter what and I love his touch around the rim. However, he is not 6’7″. I’m just eye-ing it here, but I think he’s an NBA 6’5″ (with shoes). That’s not a problem, it just means he’s probably a SG and not a SF. It also means he needs to get that outside shot going pretty soon.

newgenduderParticipantwhen measurements are consistent, believe them – check his draftexpress – He’s never been measured below 6’6.5 . To my eye he looks 6’7, and some even say he looks 6’8. Plus he has SF length w his wingspan and reach. He could play either wing spot

EspressoParticipantI had him slotted at 2 before the season and my logic was that he has the same physical advantage as a SG as Ingram has at the 3, if not more

nick5354ParticipantI have not watched much college basketball this season so I wanted to look at Browns stats to get an understanding to what he is putting up so far in the season.
Can anyone give some light to his stats, to give a taker at whether he is playing better then his stats?
Because he is only shooting .190% from 3 which is a huge issue for a guard or wing. Simmons is getting heaps of negativity around his lack of a 3 point shot, but imo a 6-7 guard who can’t shoot from 3 is a much much much bigger issue than a 6-10 point forward who has no 3 point shot.
Also, I noticed he is only averaging 1.3 assists a game? Not to mention it looks statistically he isn’t stealing the ball and is averting 2.5 turn overs. He is also a sub-par free thrower for a guard/wing at .643%, and a fg% of .479%.
Also, I noticed he is rebounding the ball at a high rate.
Is this accurate when he is playing live, because a look over at the stats and it doesn’t look like he is doing much then score, and he isn’t scoring at an effective rate with poor 3% and FT% and an average FG%.
What is his defense like? Does he provide defense that is making him more then what looks like a not so efficient scorer?
Again, I admit I have not seen him play live and want to know if these statistics are not doing him justice and if he really is much better then his stats?

newgenduderParticipantHe is a decent shooter mechanically and from the eye test. He was a decent shooter in high school, and has had a game or two at Cal making multiple 3s — Completely different situation than Simmons.
My only gripe with his game is his motor. He’s always in 1st gear out there when he doesnt have the ball, jogging around, not trying to play lock down D – probably why he’s only playing 23mpg.
He’s playing PF most of the time this year…But definetely a wing truly and at the next level of course.
I’m in love with his handle/skill off the dribble.. vine.co/v/iBetirj3bZw smooth at the basket too, very nice touch dispite the miss there

WinterSoldierParticipantIt usually takes time for younger players to put up winning stats. There are very few freshmen and NBA rookies that actually help their teams win right off the bat. If he is still playing inefficent at the last half of the season then there is something to worry about.

RigelzParticipantHe is amazing with the ball, he has the right tools to be effective at the next level but he needs to develop outside shot and play stronger def.
