EspressoParticipantWith the new mock up, Jaylen Brown has taken Skal’s #2 spot, which was my preseason prediction before i changed my mind 5 games into the season where I thought Skal play and the improvements Cal’s bigs show ,it was save to say he would go #1. Clearly things have changed since I had actually thought about starting thread about Jaylen’s posibilities at the 2. Hes beyond an excellent athlete and he starting to learn how to use his athleticism properly which is something he needed time to get use to in CBB with spacing and all. He reminds me of D Wade and looks to me like a legit SG and SF. The first prospect that I say reminds me of Wade since Archie Goodwin.
Brown and Ingram are head to head right now, and I’m still not very convinced Ben Simmons is head and shoulders above them.

Hype MachineBest athlete in the draft.
Brandon Ingram plays laterally and has a bit more shake to his game, while Brown attacks in straight lines and cant be stopped by weaker defenders.
Power scorer vs Rangey Scorer
Both will draw fouls….but I like Ingram cos he can see over defenses and has better shooting mechanics.

HitsterParticipantBit surprised that Skal has dropped to 6 personally. Brown has been at 3 or 4 on a lot opf mock drafts for over a year so moving him up a spot isn’t that major surprise.
Brown looks like an athletic freak and I’ll be interested to see how he and Ingram pan out this season. If Ingram can be compared to KD then I feel he has to be a legit challenger for number 1 overall. He may not go first like Durant but he has to be a legit option.

circumlocution75Participant& I was surprised to see he had Brown all the way down at #6….. But he doesn’t base his Mock on Talent – it’s based on need…..
So for example, he has Labissiere going #2 to the Lakers….. Also, Ford accounted for trades etc…. I’ll list his Mock below for the just the Lottery & the teams as of today who are in it:
1. Sixers – Simmons (LSU)
2. Lakers – Labissiere (Kentucky)
3. Pelicans – Ingram (Duke)
4. Celtics – Bender (Croatia)
5. Kings – Murray (Kentucky)
6. Nuggets – Brown (Cal)
7. Trailblazers – Ellenson (Marquette)
8. Bucks – Poeltl (Utah)
9. T-Wolves – Korkmaz (Turkey)
10. Suns – Dunn (Providence)
11. Raptors – Diallo (Kansas)
12. Wizards – Rabb (Cal)
13. Pistins – Jones (Vandy)
14. Magic – Zimmerman (UNLV)

OhCanada-ParticipantIf this is based on team need it is a terrible mock.
Lakers can’t draft Skal. They have a glaring need for long-term solutions on the wing and at center. Skal hasn’t proven he will be a capable C. The solution is Ingram or Brown.
The Bucks have alot of options in the frontcourt and have a rock at C with Monroe and John Henson who already needs more minutes. They would be much better off improving the PG position by acquiring Dunn.
The Suns are running thin at PF with the Morris situation. Giving heavy minutes to Leuer can’t be there long-term solution. Drafting Dunn over Rabb or Diallo does not make sense at this point.
The Raptors drafting Diallo over Rabb does not make sense. With Derozan and Valanciunas both being players that cannot stretch the floor they need a PF that has the potential to be a three point threat. Although Rabb has not added that to his arsenal he shows more upside in those regards than Diallo.

negguaryParticipantHas no credibility, doesn’t really know what he’s talking about and goes to nbadraft.net and draftexpress.com to create his final mock LOL.

TripleDoubleScoutParticipantSkal anywhere before 5 was always a joke. He’s got no clue how to play with size, as his jumpshot is his only weapon, combined with a super weak frame. Along with Newman, the most overrated prospects of the draft. I will even predict this: Skal won’t even be the first big taken…

Hype MachineAgreed. I had him at the end of the lottery in my mock a few days ago, with Poeltl being the first big taken.
Ive been very unimpressed with him.
I wouldnt even be surprised if he went back to Kentucky for another year.
