tblazer_NZParticipantI just read an article on Grantland about how Thompson is the longest tenured player for the Kings (520 games) ever. EVER.
I would have thought someone else with a more recognisable name would have played for longer at the Kings. I think he deserves some recognition for this achievement. Because of the fact that he has only ever played for the Kings in his NBA career he has never been past the 30 win mark in a season.
Can you see anyone currently on the Kings passing that mark?
DeMarcus is on 338 games for the Kings currently.
NOTE: This is only the record for the Sacramento Kings not including the Rochester/Cincy/KC teams. He would be 8th in that case.

juves4783Participantwell, you can probably add 2 more years worth of games to that because nobody is going to trade for his ridiculous contract. it’s like sacramento had to launder money when they gave him that deal.

TRC1991ParticipantJason Thompson might have one of the worst win percentages of any NBA player ever.

phila9012ParticipantI think he is good representation of the Kings. He hasn’t been too good of player and is overpaid. Somehow he has survived there. I don’t know how, coming into to the season he had played for 7 coaches in 7 seasons, now it is 8 coaches in 8 seasons. This article summed it up great and was pretty interesting. You have to give him respect for hanging in there and not trying to get out, but I don’t know if that says more about him in that he doesn’t want to work hard or win and that he is content with losing and constant upheval surrounding the franchise.
