James Harden is an acknowledged great scorer. But his shooting percentage in this playoff series is rough.

So far in this Portland series he has been shooting 34.7% from the floor. He gets the lion share of minutes since he such a threat to score, and to his credit he has gotten to the line quite a bit.

But is Wesley Matthews that good of a defender? He definitely tries hard but he’s no Tony Allen. Hopefully Harden pulls it out going forward because the defense will only get more intense.

Harden is the opposite of your name no right if you force him right he will pass or shoot a step back jumper. Surprisingly Portland read they scouting report and is using it only the Heat seem to use this against harden. He needs to use this offseason to develop his off hand

What do you make of the Rockets getting the defensive rebound and Harden brining up the ball to the top of the key and going to work 1 vs 1 with absolutely no intention of passing it ( 90% step back jumper ).  Much like James in Cleveland days.  I dont understand why they do this so often especially given his fg%.

I hate how Harden is playing in the playoffs but I think coach Mchale is one to blame. He never does anything or has a set for Harden he just gives the ball and watches. Guys like Lin, Parsons, Beverley are playing their arses off then at the end of the game just step back jumper and after he hits 1/10 Rockets tweet like he is the freakin’ MJ.

Who the hell knows if Mchale is calling sets for Harden or not….because it really probably would make no difference.  Harden catchs the ball and watches everything around him slow down and eventually come to a full halt, b/c the lack of ball movement.

Manu Scoring Style + Carmelo Playing Style + A nasty multi-million dollar beard = James Harden

He needs to have the ball in his hands at all times, otherwise he won’t get any sort of cardio sweat going. Seriously, I’ve never seen a "superstar" who literally just…stands still as much as he does on offense AND defense. If he doesn’t have the ball, you can find him standing about 6-8 feet behind the 3 point line on the right wing. He has got to be the most maddening player to watch…
