Who do you guys compare James Harden to? I can see him as a smaller Paul Pierce.

If crafty is pushing off the defender while dribbling and taking 3 steps every time taking a layup then thats hedo

he is a smooth lefty like Micheal Redd but he is stronger and can create for himself like Paul Pierce and he is a all around player like Brandon Roy…I feel that u cant compare him to just one player because he is talented in so many ways

    You know what?!!!…
Im sick of these random comparisons to this guy… he dribbles the ball around for the whole shot clock and MANAGES to make a shot… HE’D BETTER!… DwightHoward going 1for6 in a game is unexcusable and he’s the reason for it. Orlando is stupid if they resign this guy… STUPID!
The guy avg’d 12pts a game before jameerNelson injured his shoulder… ya know why? B/c Nelson figured he had to take the team over and with a PG, there is no need for a over dribbling ball hog like Hedo.
Orlando fans fear this guy not coming back b/c he ball hogs them into thinking he’s better than RLewis and Howard and Nelson put together… All three of those guys score waaaay easier than him. Rashard and Dwight can score in the post, he cant… and Nelson is QUICKER off the dribble.PERIOD. The 12pts come from not giving him the ball and as a result, they showed glimpses during the season and Rashard definitely in the playoffs.
But now look forward to them paying this guy to avg 12 pts again for 11or12million a year.
What garbage… “The Michael Jordan of turkey…” Are you kidding me? Michael is Michael anywhere and Mike proved it in the Olympics… I love Webber but i almost hate him for the analogy… this guy is garbage.
im going off on anybody who thinks this guy is to be compared with… he’s eggshells and old milk cartons… cut off steak fat and crab remains… STRAIGHT UP GARBAGE!
I guarantee Harden brings more to the game than this guy.

Machiavelli you are really hating on My Boy Turkoglu. He’s like fine wine, the dude can ball. He can create off the dribble most of the time he creates, he gets a quality shot. Whoever gets him is getting a damn good player.

What makes Turkoglu so special is his SIZE, and what he brings to to Magic (andor whomever gets use of his services), with that size.

TURK LED ORL IN ASST – 5.1 per game at 6-10!

CONSISTENT, too…same avg entering the NBA Finals, 5.1 thru 19 Playoff games

We know he can shoot…but an asst guy at the 6-10 wing presents a nightmare match-up for almost every team in NBA….LAL was fortunate to have Ariza at 6-8 athletic enough and big enough to fly to wing to break down passing lanes and get up on Turk – but Odom lost Turk dozens of times when cross-switched out, and Orl with TWO bigs who can shoot from deep was just a ridiculously unusuual set of variables for teams like Cle to contend with.

ONLY LAL – stocked with – among other things, more than ONE decent perimeter BIG defender, had the tools to compete and overtake Orl.

Playoffs showed us again how crucial mis-matches – without an answer – (Cavs? vs Orl Lewis | Turk, and Hou QUICK PG vs weak PG Play of LAL, ect) can be.

    Baron Davis….

HARDEN: Saw JH several times, and although he had his lowest scoring game of season to that point here in Corvallis, he was the focus of so much defensive attention and when he got a seam – ANY seam, I was blown away by his athletisism….it was sort of one of those guys I didn’t quite get, till he got loose and good grief, he is extraordinarily NBA-Ready. The reason I liken him to Davis is Harden’s explosiveness, and he has the NBA Skill set to become a Baron Davis-type Offensive Post-Up ‘2’ – Nightmare Match-up that can also Play the ‘3’ with a little more wt training.

HOWEVER – depending on need, THE LIST OF FORMER PAC-10 PLAYERS that played with the most intensity and passion were:

    1. JEFF PENDERGRAPH
    2. DANIEL HACKETT A CLOSE SECOND

    Most Intelligent Player:

    1. DARREN COLLISON

DC was arguably the MOST INTELLIGENT in terms of Floor Smarts. Collison is a A GENERAL; Coach-on-the-Floor, Win-at-all-costs, most astute player I have seen up close in 15 years at Gill – PERIOD. I’ve heard it said he ‘Can’t shoot’….that’s just BULL….he can and did when it was necessary, and with very good range and QUICK release. UCLA simply does not make it to 3 Consecutive Final Four’s wo Mr Collison. He IS quite slight of size – possibly not NBA Sturdy…but he is also so hyper-speed, double-quick, it makes up for so many issues that size cannot touch.

IF I had a late 2nd Rounder, and 13 or 14 Players on roster (i.e, a Boatload of Picks, without anyone to take them off my hands … such as, uh PORTLAND), I take a flier on Collison if he’s still there, andor Daniel Hackett.

HACKETT: Hackett is a So Cal – Robert Pack in the making; and a team like Portland in the lowest 40% of tempo, in the PG-Heavy West can always use a LOCK DOWN defender off the pine – esp. since Bayless was given a legit shot by Mac, and almost entirely feel flat in Mid-Season Stretch when Blake went down. Hackett and Collison were among the best two back court defensive players since M’Bauh A-Moute. The Asso is FILLED with scoring 12’s, but finding a steel trap at the Point, whom can close off D-Penetration of Parker CP Billips Nash, et al, is a equally if not MORE priceless commodity.

HILL: I do like him a heck of a lot, he was so businesslike in his collection of those unreal stat lines in AZ, But HE TOO has the Ideal NBA Body – actually more of a ‘3’ Body, though….and his mid range shot needs work. he is 6-10 with really above avg upper body – but when you look at him, his waist is amazingly small….not sure what that means – but I just could NOT get over that.

DEROZEN HOLIDAY: All these other Underclassmen have questions that I couldn’t determine in brief stay in College…DeRozen came on scene so recently – as did Holiday, upside is unparalleled.

BROCKMAN: Big Jon Brockman is questionable to me as he is already having minor knee issues…strong as hell, though. Not NBA Sturdy perhaps – Pear Shaped and even as experienced Senior, somehow could not hit FT’s, although has normal, decent rotation, ect.

BUDINGER: Great range and court savvy – yet truly seems to take plays off on defense, and – just what i hear – had rep as playing sorta soft ‘D’ in general.

PENDERGRAPH: I just love Pendergraph’s internal Motor – that Cat comes out and TELLS you he’s going to kick your ass all night, and follows it up….really. I almost worry he exhibits TOO much drive and determination – that he won’;t be able to hold up over 82+ games year in year out. Good problem to have, though.

    Just late night, misc thoughts.
