Just looking at Hardens draft profile on the site, and his comparison was to Manu. Funny looking back how good this comparison was. They are both basically the same player, normally the comparisons never pan out but they hit the nail right on the head with this one. Pointless topic i know hah

    Lets make it relevant..

How good would Harden be if he played on a team that made him the focal point of the offense.. Somewhere like Cleveland, Orlando, or Charlotte??

I think he would average 25+ point a game..

    Anyone else have an opinion?

Is it safe to say that he is a top 5 SG?? I mean in a league that is dominated by PGs and SFs, is it fair to have a top 5 guy coming off the bench at SG??

    Who is better?

    Kobe
    Wade

Those 2 for sure.. Then maybe:

    Monta
    Kev-Martin
    Joe Johnson
    Tyreke Evans

I personally would take Harden over four of those guys no doubt about it.

     Harden > those 4

    Monta has no defense.

Martin is a defensive black hole.

Joe Johnson is having trouble to be dominant.

Tyreke is young and good, but has no outside shot and playoff experience as Harden.

Other SG that comes to mind: Eric Gordon, Oldie Ray Allen, Manu.

Eric Gordon is the only one on his track, because Ray and Manu are past their primes.(both were better than Harden on their primes, specially Allen, but time doesnt forgive)

So the Beard is top 5 SG in the league no doubt. maybe ranked 3rd

I’d take Harden over Tyreke definatly, and Martin as well, and even Monta now that I think of it, Monta is a great player and I loved him here in GS, but he takes too many jumpshots, I miss the Monta on the We Believe teams that would drive to the rack every time. You could argue Johnson over Harden, and vice versa, but personally, I’d put Harden right behind Wade and Kobe. But when Manu is healthy, he’s right behind Johnson and maybe Monta. And Manu is peaking just at the right time this year.

Harden is the second best wing on OKC. Westbrook has no real temp to his game. He more or less just barrels into the lane. Harden actually sets up the offense

What about Eric Gordon? That dudes amazing. He played something like the first 3 games for NO and they went 2-1… then Gordon goes down for most of the shortened season.

With about 8-9 games left NO has the second worst record in the league and Gordon returns. NO goes on a 5 game winning streak and wins 6 of 7 games before they shut him down. They were losing draft rank every game he played.

Worked out for him better than the, lets say, the Larry Bird comparison for Adam Morrison

I’d take Harden over Eric Gordon.  The fact that Harden has actual SG size, defends better, is a better passer, better ball-handler, better rebounder.  The only thing Eric Gordon has on Harden is athleticsim because I think Harden is the better scorer/shooter.

I don’t know. When Gordon is healthy it is very debatable. Gordon is a very good scorer, shooter, defender and can make plays for others. Injuries do count though. I think it makes Harden better right now but if Girdon can stay on the court, it is close.

    1) Wade

    2) Harden

At this point, I would take Harden over Kobe.

I don’t think Harden is a better talent. But I think Harden’s style of play has incredibly valuable (extremely efficient shooting, FT line addict, enthusiastic passer, solid defender). When is the last time Kobe scored 30 points on 13 FGs? Harden has these types of games frequently.

I know it’s an unpopular opinion. Push the thumbs down button so you can feel better about yourself.
