Hype MachineWow T-Rex, I must say that this is pretty lackluster compared to your usual standards.
No plus/minus stats? No reference to spacing? No quips about the pack mentality of draftnet users and inability to form independent opinions?
Could it be that your hot streak of picking prospects from the darkest depths of the basketball world is coming to an end?
Are you finally ready to hand over the scouting championship belt to the next generation of scouting proteges like zachattack and drivingdownthestreet?

Jr. ROXASParticipantCJ is a better ball-handler. A lot more moves and his dribble moves just react to what the defense gives him. Murray os more of a straight-line driver and his handle is not on CJ’s level right now. CJ also is a better shot-creator (nasty stepbacks and hesitations), while Murray as of right now has pretty much a basic arsenal of moves.
What Murray is really good at though is moving without the ball and keeping his feet on balance when shooting of a pass. He’s very advanced for his age and on the same level as CJ on that regard. He will be a deadly off-the ball threat when he turns pro, much like Rip Hamilton but his shot extends to the 3. In therms of athleticsm and defense, I’ll give the edge to Murray but overall, McCollum is just a lot more skilled than not jst Murray but a lot of the 2 guards in the NBA. CJ’s a professional bucket maker.
I want to see though if NBA teams will view him as a 1 or 2 in the next level. He’s shown he can be the perfect 2 guard for an NBA team and if that’s his position the next level, then no problems for him, except maybe on D. However, I also think he could also be an effective point guard, which was his natural position until he went to college.

lalailaParticipantSeeing Murray’s frame I believe he will become one of the strongest SG in the league and will be much better rebounder.
I see big playmaking potential too, remember he even played PG for Canada.
overall I believe he can be one of the best all around SG excluding great defense. 20/5/5 seasons should be here if everything goes well

lalailaParticipantIn addition to that, do you guys know Jamal has TEN straight games with at least 20 points.
He is averaging 26.4ppg 50% from three with 44from88 in that span.

Magic JordanParticipantI’m still waiting for T Rex’s rebuttle to MikeyVTheDon completely owning him in the UK vs LSU thread….
Did someone do the impossible and silent him?
CJ Mccollum is infinitely more creative with the ball than Murray.

IlladelphParticipantThat anyone seriously is comparing a 19 year-old college freshman to a 24 year-old NBA player with 3 years of experience shows just how amazing Murray is playing right now. Does anyone seriously think that Murray won’t be better than McCollum in 5 years? Murray will get a lot of burn right away next year as he will be a high lottery pick, and I expect him to be in the discussion for ROY candidate. He can play 1 or 2, has a high bball IQ, and can shoot not just the long ball but floaters, and euro-steps, and put backs. He has a mean streak and has a high level of confidence. I believe he is a top 5 lottery pick.
