Jalen Brunson Declares

Excellent move on his part to leave out while peaking on the collegiate level. This may sound unreasonable to some people, but I would love to see him selected within the top-15 range off the strength of what he brings in terms of IQ at the point guard position. In a relatively weaker class, Kendall Marshall made his way into the lottery over the likes of a few athletically gifted guards.

Does he have his degree? This

Does he have his degree?

This is a DEEP DRAFT especially in the middle.

Maybe he should have gone back to school.

His draft stock really wouldn't have fallen.

At the very least you go back to school, try to make history and win 3 titles in 4 years, then you are the same guy you were this year. Maybe work on explosiveness and some other stuff.

In my mock he is not in the lottery, nor in the "next 5".

I think he could end up as a mid-2nd round pick.

So, ok, maybe he DOES get drafted in the late first round to a team that doesn't really need him. Wouldn't you rather get picked in the 2nd round by a team that WANTS you -- they can STILL give you a 3 year deal or whatever.

There is ZERO CHANCE he goes in the lottery.

Next year? With less depth, especially in the middle, the odds of him going in the lottery is a bit higher, even if he is a "known quantity". Being a "known quantity" next year could actually help his draft stock.

Ok, worst case scenario if he comes back, he gets his degree, Villanova makes it to the second weekend, his draft profile stays the same, he can go back to Villanova as an assistant coach whenever he wants, he signs a GUARANTEED 2 year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers no matter what, even if it is basically 2nd round money. And, he still goes into the 2019 draft as the "best playmaking point guard with experience" on the board.

Right now I would say his draft stock is in that "2 Way G League contract" territory. Not worth leaving school for.

He'll be looked at end of the first round. Why stay in school? He's graduates next month, I don't think his stock can rise any higher then what it is. Might as well go pro.

Hes an NBA PG for years to come..Type of PG that will guide your team through an 82 game season, Phoenix has tons of young talent, if they could find a way to get him and he could be the PG of the future for them.

The Chicago Bulls could also really use a PG of his caliber, Ive been following his career for a while now. Hea a pitbull and I believe hes the Best PG in the draft.

If NBA GM/Scouts are reading this, you better evaluate Brunson properly.. He’s the Best PG in the draft.

Body type is somewhat similar

Body type is somewhat similar to billups, but he’s far less athletic and explosive. Closer to Derek Fisher imo if your looking for a comparison.

Far less? your kidding right?

Far less? your kidding right? Hes made every PG hes played so far look pretty bad, you dont do that unless your athletic..

He's has Billups same approach to the game, Hes a winner and leader.. I'll put money on it he's better than the other PGs taken before him..

Maybe you don't remember

Maybe you don't remember Billups in college or on the Celtics but he was a top 3 pick and extremely gifted physically with a monster first step and lateral quickness. Brunson just doesn't have that same athletic talent. He reminds me of an older Billups on the Nuggets or a Kyle Lowry after injuries. Still very good players.

I think Brunson goes anywhere

I think Brunson goes anywhere from 15 to 25. Hes a solid PG that can play in the league today. Should be highly coveted as a teams backup PG/future PG. I like his chances to be good pro.

He's gonna graduate in May,

He's gonna graduate in May, is the NPOY, and 2 time national champion in just 3 years. There's absolutley no reason he should stay in college. And he should be a 1st round lock. I see him going anywhere from 14-23.
