CynthiaParticipantJackson Vroman died yesterday 06-29-15, he was 34 years old. Some of you might remember his short stint in the NBA, he was also an Iowa State college star.
He played for the Suns and the Hornets in 2004-2005 and was also with the Hornets in their brief stay in Oklahoma City in the 2005-2006 season.
I’m reading conflicting stories about his death, as most sites seem to say he died in a car accident, while another site claims he was found dead in his pool. We should get an official statement from the medical examiners in the next week or so.
Either way, I was living in OKC at this time and was excited about the Hornets being there, and I really liked this guy. He was a serviceable backup that I thought would last a few more years in the league than he did.
After the NBA he spent his basketball career in Europe and Asia, playing for multiple teams, his most recent team in 2014 was Capitanes de Arecibo.
While in the NBA he averaged 3.3 PPG & 3.0 RPG.
R.I.P

TRC1991ParticipantMy guess was alcohol and/or drugs were involved – from the sounds of it, this guy was a grade A party animal
