It was always mentioned how he was "sneaky" athletic or that his athleticism was underrateted. All that talk should be over, he’s clearly one of the best athletes in the league. He dunks everything. Incredible speed in the open floor, he can take off one foot or explode of twoo feet. Super quick first step, show the ability to make plays above the rim in the half court without space, this guy is so fun to watch. His athleticism show more and more each game.

Yeah it’s amazing how much he and KAT improved so much in that department. They’re both so quick in the open floor it’s scary .

Yeah, I remember during the Wiggns-Jabari debates everyone was saying that if you want the freak athlete, get Wiggins, but if you want the less athletic but great scorer, get Jabari. Wiggins is probably overall more athletic still, but Jabari is clearly an elite athlete. The way he dunks looks so easy and is strangely satisfying to watch (see: his dunk on Chicago the other night and hitting his head on the rim in the preseason). His first step is crazy too

Jabari’s athleticism is incredibly unique. The guy is so big and get’s off the floor so quickly; his second jump is almost as quick as his first jump and he will sometimes putback-dunk his own misses off a standing jump. Not sure I’ve seen anyone do it as often as he does.

Right now almost all his shots in the half-court offense sre jumpshots, maybe it’s because Milwuakee has no shooters and Kidd wants him to spread the floor. If Parker can learn to bully smaller players and run past slower players on drives, he will be amazing. I really hope he figures it out, his midrange game is great, and his longrange game is improving, but I want to see him create some easier shots for himself.

With that jumper, strength, quickness and athleticism, his potential as a scorer is unlimited.

It’s the combination of size and athleticism. He lost some of that pudgyness he sort of had at Duke but he’s just a thick dude, not quite on the level of Drummond but his legs look the size of an average high school freshmans torso. He’s been throwing down some nasty tomahawks lately and that’s after a spin move, which is something both him and Giannis are perfecting. Wiggins looked like the clear cut better pick once that injury happened but I’d take Jabari now and I think many others would as well.

Id like to see him still lose 15 pounds and play SF i think his offensive options are limited playing PF.  Hes not a great rebounder or rim protector and best suited poaching passing lanes and getting downhill.

I always knew he could jump and had a crazy vert even in college he had way more and better dunks then Wiggins but his speed has been showstopping all year.

With all the talk about Giannis, we have probably let Jabari go slightly under the radar. But I agree for a 250lbs guy he is an amazing athlete, the 200lbs Wiggins will naturally be expected to be a bit more athletic than the bigger Jabari.

We are probably now really starting to see the best of Jabari after he missed the bulk of his rookie year and only really started to show his true potential post All Star break last season. Don’t forget he has played over 60 games less than Wiggins so is probably more of a work in progress.

Jabari has improved his stats across the board this season, notably apart from his ppg, his 3 point % is a lot higher than last year.

ESPN have an interesting statsline comparing KAT/Wiggins afainst Jabari/Giannis.

To be honest, I said plenty of times that he was a good athlete when in Duke. I’m not surprised, but happy.

His coordination at that size is really remarkable.  His quickness with the ball is outstanding.  It’s one thing to just have a good first step, but to be able to maintain that quick first step off the dribble instead of just out of the triple threat is a huge weapon for him.  His body and ball control allow him to score in ways that most people at that size simply cannot.
