JMIKE is a Grizz fanParticipantWhich one would you take Jabari or Shabazz. I would take Parker because he’s a do it all guy that can do any thing you need him to do and he’s 2 years younger I believe. Plus i don’t know about how good shabazzs defence is.

andxxxParticipantJabari Parker he’s much younger, is constantly improving, great attitude, and taller. Jabari Parker looks like a future top 2 pick.

mikeyvthedonParticipantJust because he is younger it does not mean he will be better. Shabazz is a much better athlete, and I think his attitude is fantastic as well. Jabari could end up being a top 2 pick, but Shabazz is looking like the odds on favorite for first pick in the 2012 draft. Jabari is not a bad athlete, but I do not believe he has the same athleticism as Shabazz, not to mention I like Shabazz’s attitude and demeanor quite a bit as well.

hovermasterParticipantdefinately shabazz, his athleticism, length and attitude just puts him on another level along with his tremendous midrage game and improving 3 point shot.
all he has to do is improve his defense, practice going right more, and tighten up his handle a bit.
to me jabari is like carmelo and shabazz is like kobe/harden/wade hybrid with attributes from all three

KDThunder35ParticipantI would go with Jabari on this one. I really like his jump shot mechanics this early in his development. He just looks to have the pro game at a very early age. What’s even more impressive is his patience on offense, he looks to make the easy play all the time and take what the defense gives him. I think he will get more athletic as he gets older as athletes tend to develop more around their senior year/freshman year of college. From reading that article on his faith and family life I would assume he is a high character guy and would be extremely coachable, which is key in player development. He also already has great size and skill for his position (6’8 Small Forward), with still room to grow as he is only 16.
While Shabazz is definitely a gem himself, and I really am high on him as well, I don’t think he has the upside of Jabari. Shabazz uses his strength to his advantage and plays extremely physical while still being very creative for himself with the ball. I don’t see great playmaking ability for others in his game and that might hurt him as he doesn’t have elite quickness to get by defenders at will at the next level and he will not be able to impose his physical dominance repeatedly.
The one X factor in these two players is Shabazz seems to have a little more fire and emotion to his game. I really like his determination and work ethic. This decision would usually be a no brainer for me as this would normally sway me to choose Shabazz first, but I think I am going to go with the young fella based on his jumper, high character and continued improvement.

Johnny ChillShabazz’s offensive game looks too much one demensional right now. Plus he only goes left.
Parker is going to be a matchup nightmare for teams. He has a really nice looking outside shot and he can finish in the paint.

I have been talking about the left hand thing for months…but Shabazzs offense is good from the rim to the 3-point line and everywhere in between

Druneave1Participanti just see something really special in him. parker is great player with a good feel for the game. his coach said he will be the best player out of chicago EVER. ok. parker seems a bit on the slow side. everybody knows the often used comparison to paul pierce. Ill ride with shabazz, but i wouldnt like to live off the difference between the two.

ilike.panochasParticipantI like Jabari Parker better as a prospect. He is much more versatile scorer, he is a cross between Durant/Carmelo, the two best scorers in the league right now, so that tells you what type of scorer Jabari will be in the league. Jabari has it all, post up game, ability to create off dribble, and has a better jumpshot than Shabazz despite being 1 class younger. He also has better length than Shabazz which makes him a tougher match up.
