Jabari Parker Got Skills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( Sorry For Bad Spelling In Previous Post )
I had a chance to watch jabari play again today on espn. And I'm just so jealous of the advanced overall skill package he posesses. He might not be the freakish athlete that andrew wiggens is, but he by far is the most skilled player in this year senior highschool class. What makes him a high level NBA prospect in my opinion is the fact that he is a very smart basketball player, very versitile with a variety of basketball skills that he can utilize, very unselfish, a team player first, a highly efficient decision maker, and willing to do the small things that contribute to a win. It's no doubt in my mind that he is gonna be a great player at duke and potentially compete for the player of the year in college basketball next year. He just makes winning basketball plays and has the high level skill set and decision making instincts that's needed for him to be a dynamic offensive player who can also make those around him better. The way he combines his high overall skill level with great decision making instincts is similar to how a young and extremely talented Penny Hardaway And Grant Hill use to play like back in the day when they were younger.
Man, he made a move ( stepback fadeaway jumper with a quck release and high arcing shot ) that had me screaming ooh weeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was just an unguardable move that will continue to give many great defenders alot of troble in the future
Also, I think if Jabari utilizes the right type of athleticism enhancing training program, he can easily develop into the next grant hill. Because there style of play is very similar in my opinion.
Man damn that foot injury and staph infection. Grant would've been a first ballot Hall of Famer on averages of like 22ppg 6rpg 5apg on near 50% FG, not to mention his dime of a wife, Tamia. Hate when greatness is cut short.
Its pretty crazy to think he still has career averages of 17 6 and 4 with 48% from the floor. All the crap his body has been through and he's still playing.
This kid greeeeewwww. Look at him as a youngin'
Not to be a dick but he's 6'8 now that's only 5 inches. I grew more than that during puberty..
True, but look how chubby he is n &$#%#&@!. I'm surprised he developed the athleticism and body he has already. Look's like he could have easily been 240+. But yeah 5 isn't too bad.
Also for all the talk about Jabari vs Andrew. Ya'll are some bandwagon jumper for real. See one video and now someones comparing Wiggins to Gerald Wallace while Parkers a GHill type?
I totally see some Hill in his game, along with some Pierce & Melo's quick pull up ability. I'm very excited for him in college/league.
Wiggins is still very talented and outplays/shutsdown most every big time guy he faces. http://hoopmixtape.com/2013/01/andrew-wiggins-destroys-defender-with-the...
Don't act like Andrew don't have skills though, he's not as far off from Parker. What comes to mind for me when watching his is Rudy Gay's game but a bit less perimeter oriented now, with Gerald Greens athleticism.
I will compare them to KG and Duncan. Where both we're dominant and obviously two of the best pf's but each of their games was night and day. Who's better only came down to who won more chips. For a situational comparison (not based off actual game) this really reminds me of KG (Wiggins) and Duncan (Parker), in regards to affect at the highschool and probably college level next year.
