Loving his play at the moment, the more I watch him the more I think of Antawn Jamison.

    What do you guys think?

They are both PF with that hybrid SF game, Jamison’s outside was still a work in progress his 2nd year no doubt as is Parker’s.
Parker seems a bit more athletic, but I see a lot of similarity.

Jamison was mostly a PF throughout his career. I see Parker more as a SF who will occasionally play PF. I see similarities of a young Paul Pierce in Jabari with that way he scores the ball but yeah his shooting will come soon.

Hes a mix between Melo and Paul Pierce. Faster then Paul Pierce, but doesnt shoot it quite like him or melo. Hes also more athletic then both of those two. This guy throws down a lot of dunks in traffic. Coming off an ACL injury is tough but hes coming around to show he was worth being drafted that high. Good building piece for the bucks. Could be a great number 2 option for 7-8 years.

I’m sure I’ll catch flack for this but the Celtic he reminds me of is Antoine Walker as opposed to The Truth. Granted he’s a better finisher around the room & Toine was a more prolific shooter but his game is closer to Walkers than Pierces in my opinion. Both Parker and Pierce share similar body types as well.

I don’t see any sort of comp between Parker and Pierce. Pierce was a SG where Parker is closer to a 4 man.

Pierce averaged 4-6 assists a year basically every year of his prime. Parker is nowhere near that type of facilitator, which is fine. He’s a finisher.

Pierce is an absolut SF, like kobe is an asbolut SG, please.

Pierce played his first nba game at age 21, he was a legit 6’7, 230-240 pounder his entire career.

      Parker is still 20.

Not worried about the assists, he knows, he can, he will, the most surprising thing with him his his 3 pts shooting, damn he only attempted 31 in his career, bucks need it.

He was a shot maker in college, i thought he would have nba 3pts range pretty easily, not a great shooter, but respectable, part of his game.

I hoped he would be the next PP34, we need that kind of skilled players, that footwork, but festar must be right, he’s leaning toward Jamison, pure tweener, 20000+ pts 8000 rebs in his career, 10 years of 20-8, 2 time all star, nothing in PO, a great non hall of famer.

I agree with guy who sayy he should play SF

I mean if he is 250pounder doesn’t mean he has to be a pf automatically. Let’s make it his advantage over lighter wings.

It was his quickness not size that made us think he has to play and defend PFs, but as someone mentuioned suddenly we realised he is actually more athletic than his comparisons so even defensivelly I better have him on SF rather that on much taller and longer guys like Davis, Aldridge, Bosh, Porzingis.. and especially when to have that freakishly versitile long 6’11 talent who lately puts up double doubles and blocks 2 and more shots

With the new trend in small ball i think him playing pf is a plus because of his quickness and his ability to spread the court a little bit(needs to improve his 3 point shot). I think he may work towards shedding some weight during the offseason so he can be more effective in terms of building endurance and improving his durability. Often when he drives it seems like he goes a little to hard which im not knocking, but thats how he tore his acl last season. On the plus side you can tell hes not scared to do that same move that got him injured which amazing to see in such a young player. Hes a stud man i see 20 plus scoring potential, On the flip side i think Milwaukee needs to continue giving him the opportunity to score since their not making the playoffs. Bright bright future.
