dmo21Participantthey need new rules for this all star balloting because it goes by how many people now you rather than how good you are playing. Stats should be the only requirement to getting into the game, not if the people like you or how good your team is doing.. Just the players who are doing they best right now, should make it.

BasketballGuru24ParticipantThe NBA Has to have a rule that you have 2 play a minimal amount of games.

canesboy6ParticipantStern cant allow that to happen or players are going to stop caring about it. And yes, they do care about it.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe NBA should come up with some type of voting system that counts the votes of fans, coaches and players. That way it’s not purely fan dominated.
The votes of the fans, coaches and players would each count for a certain calculated percentage towards a players chances of being named to the All-Star team.

dmo21Participantif the teams were picked by adding the averages of points, rebounds, and assists for every position. Kinda flawed because pgs dont rebound much and centers dont average many assists, but still good.

llperezfirst off, the fans only pick the starters. The majority of all stars are picked by coaches so lets not act like the whole all-star team is a sham. Secondly, well there will always be some questionable picks, overall through the years the fans have done a great job picking deserving starters, or at least guys who deserve to be in the all star game.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/10/2009 - 5:02pm #237423
dmo21Participantwho were the worst all star picks in the past? the guys that shouldnt have been there with more deserving players not on the team?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/10/2009 - 5:08pm #237426
llperezsome of the guys who were voted starters over the years who didn’t deserve to be in the all-star game, I really can’t think of too many. I know there was at least 1 or 2 years Vince made it with toronto that he was not deserving. AI probably didn’t deserve it last year. AC Green was voted as a starter one year over guys like Karl malone. As great as Grant Hill was even as a rookie, he didn’t deserve to be in it as a rookie. Penny was picked one year after he barely played any games and Tim Hardaway publicly called him out for even accepting the invitation.

itsOvaParticipantI dont get why people in China like T-Mac so much, although his name is kinda cool in Chinese, but dude hasn’t played a game since I cant even remember, and he should not even be on the ballot in the first place..

dmo21Participantthe chinese like him because he plays/played with yao ming, most of the starters on the rockets last year received a lot of all star votes, which is ridiculus
