Its going to be difficult for Lebron to stay in Cleveland

With the moves Miami and Chicago is doing I don't see Lebron staying in Cleveland. Miami is probably guaranteed to get two max contract guys. Wade and Bosh, Wade and Amare, or Wade and Boozer will make it tough for Lebron to contend for a title if he stays with the Cavs. Lets say that Lebron does stay in Cleveland, he won't be on the best team in the east. Orlando, Miami, Chicago, and possibly Boston can still be better than the Cavs. Lebron has to leave Cleveland in order to win a title. Hate to say this but after the draft he would look good playing with the Clippers. Its probably won't happen but any team with salary cap space looks better than staying in Cleveland.

I have no clue where he is

I have no clue where he is going, i hope it's Cle.

For what it's worth though- I think if he stays in Cle. JJ Hickson has a good chance to end up being better than Bosh. Don't get me wrong, its nt probable but he has a decent chance and he has improved consistently. And even at the end of the yr. he showed the ability to hit the 10-15 footer with accuracy.

Ok. Well, I find it funny

Ok. Well, I find it funny though how much people overrate Bosh. He even overrates himself.

IF you watched Hickson play this year you would know that he has all the tools Bosh has, and more. Plus his skills are developing nicely. Doesn't it tell you something that the Cavs wouldn't trade him for a player like Amare?

Dude I watched Bosh, and Hickson play all year, and I still question how people think Hickson will be anything more then a Leon Powe/ Paul Milsap at best player. He's not even a starting talent, and to say he's close to Bosh is rediculous. Bosh is over rated, but ask yourself then how a guy gets over rated? Because he has the numbers. Hickson will never put up 24-11...never. LeBron isn't going to stick around because of him either, and I think Bosh wants to play with LBJ, so where ever one of them goes, the other will follow. Chi Town would make the most sense, but I hope that doesn't happen. As a basketball and NBA fan I would find it degrading for two max players to go to the bulls. Why so many people hate the Yankees

How many power forwards in

How many power forwards in the NBA are better than Chris Bosh? Not many... He's an elite top five power forward. Do you think JJ Hickson has the potential to be an elite power forward in the NBA?

I like Hickson, but he's not that kind of player. He's a role player at best. He's not the type of player who's going to make a real difference in the win/loss column.

"He's not the type of player who's going to make a real difference in the win/loss column."

Apparently neither is Bosh.

I see it as the same way that

I see it as the same way that I see Kobe and Gasol. When one is on the bench the other is the first option. When LeBron is out Bosh can carry the team. If LeBron is out Hickson might not even get the ball. Big difference. The only problem in Bosh's game is he doesn't play good defense all the time. Best scoring big in the game, and at times can take over. Not getting that from a 6'8 pf

" When LeBron is out Bosh can

" When LeBron is out Bosh can carry the team"

To a loss?

"scoring big in the game, and at times can take over. Not getting that from a 6'8 pf "

First off he isn't 6-8 but whatever. Secondly if you say Bosh is the best scoring big we have yet another case of someone overrating Bosh. Dirk and Gasol are better scorers and they do it on good teams, Bosh scores 24 on a crappy team. And if your logic is that he can't be a good scorer because he is 6-8 (which he isn't) I dont know what to say...

Im done on this topic, because there is no point of arguing about what if's or stuff that can't be backed up with anything other than opinions

I'm in shock that we're even

I'm in shock that we're even having an online conversation about Hickson being in the same breath as Bosh. Bosh averages 20+ points and 9+ rebounds for his career... He's been the face of the Raptors franchise the last five seasons, is a five-time All-Star and Olympian. To say he doesn't make a difference in the win/loss column is crazy.

maaronmms ----last thought

Thanks for posting those stats. Hickson had a much higher fg% due to his ability to finish at the rim very well, much better than Bosh, especially at the same stage. if you do the math, Hickson would also be around that 15-16 ppg area also. Considering he scored 8.5 in 21 mins, if he played 37 minutes he would get 15 per game also, not to mention Bosh had far more touches.

Wait, one more thing

"To say he doesn't make a difference in the win/loss column is crazy."

How so? He had a great team this year and they did NOTHING. You guys rag on LeBron for not leading his team to victory, while he leads his vastly OVERRATED supporting cast to 60 win season and ECF and Finals. BUT Bosh leads his teams to victories when they win 40 something games and dont even make the PLAYOFFS. yall are some hypocrates.

Bosh isn't LeBron James, Kobe

Bosh isn't LeBron James, Kobe Bryant or Dwayne Wade... However to say he doesn't make any impact in the win/loss column doesn't make any sense.

You weren't saying LeBron's supporting cast was vastly overrated at the beginning of the season. You were predicting them to win a title, remember while proclaiming the Celtics to be too old? You also said the Cavs were deeper than the Magic. Let's not get amnesia here, which seems to be the typical Cavs fan's syndrome after LeBron gets bounced from the playoffs.

To put JJ Hickson, a role player, in the same breath of an All-Star and Olympian is beyond ridiculous.

Jammin-Lemon is obvious a Bosh hater.
I live in Canada and I watch almost every Raptor's game.
I do believe that he cannot be "the guy" on a winning team, but JJ Hickson?
your comparison is more ridiculous than NYK's draft pick last night.
No disrespect what so ever, but please do your homework before comparing a multiple time allstar with a nobody.

Oh, sorry. They are my favorite team so am I supposed to say they won't win it or their team sucks? You back your team, no matter what. But, come on. It was sooooo obvious their team was overrated from day one. Shaq is not even 2% the player he used to be, even in Mia. he couldn't even convert baskets under the rim. Don't you recall me also pushing for Amare before Jamison for the Cavs? He is erratic and undersized. Mo Williams has proved he is no good in the playoffs. And Coach Brown runs a horrible offense. call it excuses but i'll call it the truth.

Ok, I will do my homework.

Ok, I will do my homework. Just remember that Bosh had a great team this year and led them all the way to the lottery.

Also, I am not COMPARING hockson to Bosh, necessarily. I said Hockson has the potential to be on Bosh's level.

I specifically remember me

I specifically remember me posting I thought the Celtics would win it over Cleveland and you replied... "Ewww... Too old." Lol NOW you're saying that it's obvious the Cavs were overrated from day one. Yes... Excuses lol.

Anyway though... It'll be interesting to see where everybody ends up after July 1st.

Bosh had a great team ? If

Bosh had a great team ?

If you actually watched a Toronto game, they we horrible teammates. No one played defense and you cannot name 1 player that plays good defense. You also keep telling us Bosh can't lead a team, but neither can LeBron. I'm a LeBron fan myself, but if you "lead" your team to the ECF just about every year and never win a championship that's the same outcome as not making the playoffs. I'd rather go to the lottery and rebuild through there instead of drafting 2nd round scrubs and overpaying role players starter contracts, and just losing every year in the playoffs.

He just proved your whole

He just proved your whole argument? He just said LeBron can't lead a team so what was your argument to let Bron leave and rebuild around J.J.? And I noticed you said Hickson wasn;t 6'8 but you never listed his actual height. Well your right Hickson aint 6'8 he's 6'7 in socks. I liked Hickson and he is who I wanted the Sixers to take had Speights not been there. But I wouldn't trade Mo' Speights for JJ Hickson. Since LeBon would like to play wit Bosh and the Raptors know that Bosh is leaving why don't Colengelo do and sign and trade Bosh for Hickson so this way atleast he has the next Chris Bosh...

So you would trade let's say for the sake of this threat Chris Bosh for role players? Your telling me you would rather have role players then Chris Bosh too?

Jammin Lemon/Mikenike let me

Jammin Lemon/Mikenike let me just say I respect your opinion greatly, one of the most intellectual guys on the site but I cannot agree with you on this Hickson/Bosh comparison you are making. Hickson is a great athlete no doubt but most of his points were off Lebron passes and put backs and tip ins, alley oops, his offensive game is very raw, you put him on a team other then the Cavs and you would not be making this comparison, Lebron made him look better just like he made everyone look better in Cleveland. You take Lebron off Cleveland they are a lottery bound team.

That being said, Bosh has had the Raptors franchise build around him for years, do I think they should have? No, I've stated before Bosh is not a Max Deal guy nor 1st option on a championship team but he has been a solid rebounder and exceptional scorer for years, he can play with his back to the basket, take his man off the dribble, hit the elbow jump shot consistently, has a phenomenal face up game and just about every offensive tool for a big guy, is he the best at it? No but he is top 3 for sure right now. To say Hickson who has no offensive game can become a Bosh type player who averaged 20 and 10 this year is completely ridiculous. I say Hickson in his best season might be a 17-18 ppg and 6-8 rebound type guy, and thats his best season, hes a tremendous athlete but he does not have the potential to become anywhere near the player Bosh is.

I don't think Hickson will

I don't think Hickson will ever be as good as Bosh. However, he is developing nicely and more importantly he gels extremely well with James. If LeBron stays and Hickson is given starters minutes for a whole season then I feel the Cavs will be more of a threat. The Cavs need some addition by subtraction by removing some of the excess starters. Cavs weren't going to win this year because they upset the chemistry too much with inconsistent lineups and other things. However, with Brown gone, someone like Byron Scott could build a team with real chemistry even if the Cavs aren't as talent-laden.

Where is this notion that Bosh wants to play with LeBron coming from? He has said he wants to be a centrepiece not an addition so I can't see that happening on any team with LeBron. Surely Bosh isn't so conceited as to think he is more important than the two-time MVP. If LeBron stays I can see Hickson and James gelling better than any of the potential free agent partners. Wherever LeBron goes, I get the feeling he will be a lone star.
