Isaiah Taylor was once thought to be a first rounder and NBADraft.net once had him in the lottery. But due to his "limited range" and inefficiency he stayed in college a few years before going undrafted.

This year in the D-League for Rio Grande Valley Vipers he has averaged 20 ppg, 3 rpg and 6.1 apg over 23 games in 34.5 mpg. What I want to note is his fg% of 50.3% and his 3pt percentage of 41% and his 1.4 3s made per game.

Taylor could definitely see some NBA minutes next season with the development in his jumper.

he is really quick and has nice handles, wouldn’t mind my 76ers or hornets give him a call up.

Man what was that game again where his stock rose dramitically in his freshman (I think?) season? There was this one game where he was super clutch and hitting all the possible floaters and gained so much recognition from college ball fans after, I just can’t put my finger to it.

Anyway, I always loved this guy. He reminded me of Jeff Teague in college, the way he finds ways to get up his floaters in the paint with ease. I haven’t been watching him in the D-League though but I’m really happy for him.

I’ve always been a fan of Taylor. Probably a little biased being a life long UT fan but I hope he ends up making it in the league. I wished he would have stayed another year or so but happy to see he’s playing well.

I remember him and never could see the hype. Wasn’t a great shooter, passer or finisher and didn’t have good size – all of which are key ingredients for making it in the NBA.

I think his speed and handles, coupled with some nice mix tape highlights helped build his high school hype but he was just never was that good in college.

I think early on he was listed late first round, but quickly slipped to a second rounder for most of his freshmen season.

I watched him in his first and second seasons and he still didn’t look NBA ready. I didn’t bother again seeing him in his third season

H ewasn’t hyped in high school. A few big college games were what boosted the hype around him.
