Where do you rank Kyrie Irving among NBA guard prospects coming into the draft?, not taking into account their NBA success since entering the league

    Kyrie Irving

    John Wall , Evan Turner

James Harden, Tyreke Evans, Stephen Curry, Ricky Rubio

Derrick Rose, OJ Mayo, Russell Westbrook, Eric Gordon

    Conley

I would have him fourth behind 1 Wall 2 Rose and 3 Evans

It’s hard to rank him with this group they are all more athletic and stronger you could compare knight to those guys.
Irving is more smooth an uses his skills rather then athletic ability.
If I would rank him he would be fifth or sixth behind those three and James harden and OJ.

so why compare him to Turner, Harden, Mayo, and Gordon, when those guys are shooting guards?

As a prospect I wanted to know where he would be drafted alongside these guards not necesarily comparing their styles of play.

I have Irving a close number two behind rose and over all the following coming into the draft.  Not based on them playing now, but entering the draft same time.  Irving while not as athletic as Rose and Westbook, is a better shooter and passer. He has tremendous ball handing and great vision. True Point guard

John Wall- Cant shoot, good passing though and athletic

Evan Turner- Cant shoot, not very quick

James Harden- Streaky shooter- solid athlete

Tyreke Evans- Not a good shooter, not a true point guard, not athletic, good size, crafty handle

Derrick Rose- Poor shooter- average playmaker as far a creating for others, Tremendous athlete. Great Potential

OJ Mayo- Tweener- Undersized at the two- and not a playmaker at the one

Russell Westbrook- Combo guard- not a true point- can he play the point? question coming into draft. Athletic

Eric Gordon- Combo- undersized two guard- good shooter- good athlete

Conley- Poor shooter- maybe overrated. Fast guard

Curry- Great Shooter- Can he play the point

Rubio- Is he ready- Terrible shooter- Great court vision

I still see no reason to believe Walker is not the best PG in this draft, yet my opinion certainly is not as professional as a scouts so Ill believe the hype for now.

I think walker is a great guard, not better than Irving but not far behind. Walker will surprise alot of people with his game in the NBA. He is a better athlete than people realize and super quick.

Walker is like Ty Lawson, Darren Collison, guys of that vein.  He is a good point guard, but as far as pure point guard not a great one.  These are quick guys that can spark offenses with their ability, but they are not the Chris Paul, Steve Nash, Deron Williams, Rajon Rondo types, they probably will never average double figures in assists unlike Irving who can.

He can shoot, defend, and has good character.

As for Walker, he has questions because of he likes to dominate the ball and has trouble defending elite players.
