Andrew1984ParticipantWho are the best 10 international NBA players right now?
(I will define this as a player who came to the NBA directly from overseas. It is not based on career or legacy, but on the quality they bring to the court, right now.)
1. Giannis Antetokounmpo
2. Marc Gasol
3. Kristaps Porzingis
4. Goran Dragic
5. Rudy Gobert
6. Nic Batum
7. Dennis Schroder
8. Evan Fournier
9. Nik Vucevic
10. Pau GasolNotables who didn’t quite make the list include Tony Parker, Dirk Nowitzki, Danilo Gallinari, Marcin Gortat, Jonas Valanciunas, Serge Ibaka, Enes Kanter, Steven Adams.
The rankings are obviously debatable because they’re subjective, but what I found a little surprising is that there’s only two All-Stars at most on the list!

OhCanada-ParticipantWiggins should be on that list as well as Tristan Thompson.

FritzParticipantI think he excluded him because his definition of international is drafted while they were playing for another country and not in college in the US.If this is not the case, then Wiggins and Embiid should be on that list.

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantCanada is basically America. I can travel there with just my drivers license

OhCanada-ParticipantThat point holds no weight here. Wiggins and Thompson would never play for team USA. They are team Canada all the way which makes them non American or as Americans call it international players.

CameronCrazy11ParticipantCan’t include Vucevic then. He played at USC. Steven Adams played at Pittsburgh too so he wouldn’t be included either.

OhCanada-ParticipantMy point exactly. This list is obviously about internationally born and raised players. Or if its abiut where the players played as domestic amatuer players then Jennings and Mudiay would have to be on it despite being raised in the US.

Andrew1984ParticipantTotally forgot about the stateside college days of Vucevic and Adams. My bad!

ThenilonatorParticipantJust because he hasn’t played a game yet doesn’t mean Simmons doesn’t belong on this list!
