Not saying this trade is going to come close to happening, but let’s just say it’s on the table. I’m just asking if either team would do it.

Westbrook and Ibaka for Love and Rubio.

Now, I don’t think the Wolves would consider it. But I think it’s a very interesting question for the Thunder. 99% of Thunderheads say there’s no way they would do the deal.

But if I was Sam Presti, I totally would. It solves your two biggest problems in poor ball movement and rebounding. It’s a bit of a risk since the Thunder as they are right now have a good chance to go to the finals, but am I totally crazy in thinking it’s a slam dunk deal?

Yeah Thunder make out like bandits in this deal, they get scoring at the 4 spot, a top-notch pass first PG, which are their two biggest needs.

Wolves would be daft to take it.

Love is a better player but you losing two of your top defensive players for players thats not really known for their defence(and thats just being nice).

Right now neither team should think about doing a move and also Minny needs a two guard and possibly a better Center.  Why would they do a trade and get neither of those.  I thnk if you add in Cook and a 1st rounder, this deal with be close to equal.

To clarify, I meant it would be a slam dunk for the Thunder, not the Wolves.

Did you not see Wall’s today!? Dude had a whopping -25 and only the Lord of the board knows what it will climb up to by Tomorrow.

I’m not sure I’d call Rubio a top-notch pint guard just yet in his career.  Westbrook IS a top-notch player, even though he’s the most hated player on this site.  Also, neither Rubio nor Love no how to play defense, while Ibaka and Westbrook are great on that side of the court.

Having said that, it is a pretty interesting idea.  But I wouldn’t call it a slam dunk for the thunder

Thunder would do it in a second.  And has anyone else realized that the Thunder are going to need a coaching change?  With this defensive talent, they’re middle of the pack defensively, and Brooks can’t figure out what to do with Westbrook or how to get good shots at the end of the game.  Seems like Scotty was great for a rebuilding team, but not the best bet for a contender.

What about switching Ibaka for Perkins?

    MINNY

That way They can play Williams, Beasley, and Johnson at one time. Starting center are hard to fine.

    Westbrook – Johnson – Beasley – Williams – Perkins

    Ridnour / Barera – Ellington – Webster – Randolph – Darko

    OKC

Move Ibaka to center and not mess up the chemistry as bad

    Rubio – Harden / Sefolosha – Durant – Love – Ibaka

    Maynor – Harden / Sefolosha – Cook – Collison – Mohamed

Ibaka has far more value than Perkins.  You made a bad trade worse.

Yeah, Minny wouldn’t do that. Athough RW #’s are good, NBA teams would be reluctant to add a player with his skill set. The only team that I can think of off the top thats willing to deal for RW is New Jersey. Both teams will be happy. Dwill is looking for assists when NJ needs pts. OKC is looking for a distributor and RW is shooting.

I hope this trade doesnt go down bcuz my Lake Show would be in trouble.

listen, i was NOT hating on Westbrook at all! I’m just saying for the thunder to get a guy like rubio is a better fir then Westbrook. cause he can pass better (dare to disagree with me on that) and he can still score, and his defense is pretty solid too…. On the other hand, if Westbrook went to Minn. hed be free to play his natural position which would be a shoot first guard… so in the end i think the this trade idea is a thunder steal… not hating on westbrook.

I thinnk the wolves won’t trade neither love nor rubio.

For the beginning of the season, the wolves have been playing very well and succeeded against top teams (2 wins and some D by only 4 points or less and against top teams). I watched all of their games to evaluate adelman and rubio’s impact. And iit’s been huge.

Moreover the atmosphere is for the first time in a decade (KG’s trade) very positiv. Rubio is the point guard of the future bringing some hype in this team and some game (cause he’s for real). And love is one of the most promising inside/outside force in this league : not only a stats monster but also a great worker always progressing. He will get his extension and be the face of the franchise with rubio.

The only possible trade for the wolves is with beasley : in the end of his contract, talented but inconstant, logjam with williams who seems to be a more serious player
