Bmore_DCParticipantBefore you read this, keep in mind this post is totally hypothetical and completley out of curiosity…
But would it be a good idea to package Deron Williams and Brook Lopez for a superstar like Dwight or Chris Paul?
I mean, they are about to be a large market team competing with the Knicks (Melo and Amare) and their fanbase…they have a RICH @$$ owner…
I donno, i dont think this option is out of the question…

WinterSoldierParticipantMaybe Dwight but no way is Chris Paul worth D-Will and Lopez. I personally wouldn’t even take Paul straight up for Williams.

sammybuckeye13ParticipantI agree, Williams’ durability and continuing improvement each year makes him the equal of Paul on the market. Paul may well be the better point guard (though it’s damn close), but their value is the same.

Bmore_DCParticipanthaha i knew i would get negged for this…
obviously i know the hornets would have to give them some more assets (i.e. expiring contracts/picks)

BasterdInABasketParticipantIf Dwight would be willing to sign an extiension then I absolutely would. Realistically Dwight has been the most valuable player the last 3 years. I wouldnt hesitate to say that a Nets team with Dwight would be better whan a Nets team with Deron and Lopez, but if Dwight wont sign an extension in Orlando, theres no way he’d sign with the Nets with the roster they have. I think the Nets are a playoff team with Dwight but not a championship contender and thats what he wants to be on. They will have a lot of cap room to work with, if they can lure in another big name guy they might convince Dwight to sign a deal too.

llperezshouldnt we be the judges of whether or not your trade topic is interesting or not? I mean isnt it kinda egotistical to label your own topics as interesting?

fastdanParticipantFarmar, Brooks, Outlaw, Humphries and Dwight wouldn’t win 35 games. That team is horrible, no way the Nets give up a top 3 PG and soon-to-be-many-time allstar in Brooks for Dwight.

JunkYardDogParticipantI think you need more than d will and lopez to get howard… you need to add some picks.
But the idea is interesting…
