if you WERE lebron where would YOU want to go?
my choices would be based upon the clubs economic condition and there current players
I came up with three choices two which can afford max contracts and one that would
need a little work
my choices are the clippers the griz and the jazz
first off the jazz its a nice quiet area to live in, theyve always treated their players well and I think I could collect a few rings their and drive l.a crazy
obviously it would require not resigning boozer and trading kirillenko and miles
I could make 12 mil and play with williams, okur, millsap and the 8th pick
not bad schedule the jazz in for the western conference champioship at least.
memphis max contract play with draft picks mayo, gasol, and randolph
clippers its l.a so obviously kobe would have a new rival for attention, not like he hasnt
max contract id get to play with lottery pick and davis, gordon, griffin, and kamen not a bad cast
your thoughts please and where would you want to go if you were lebron
1. he wont go to memphis thats almost as bad as cleavland and they will always be a borderline 500 team
2. the jazz is the most impossible situation and they would have to butcher there team to get him
3. and why the hell would he want to be in LA the city that already has KOBE BRYANT a player everyone has disputes over who is better and its the clippers they will never win anything and why would he want to play in the same arena kobe is beloved in every other night
Now if i was lebron my three ideal choices would be
1.Chicago- they have the best cast in place without having to get rid of anyone and barring injuries to rose noah and deng they could have one almost 46to48 games IMO and they can play Defense and if they trade deng and hinrich during the draft or before the draft they could not only get lebron but amare or bosh.
2.Miami- he could come play with wade and someone else like amare, bosh or boozer and its south beach and IMO pat reily would step down and coach
3.Cleavland would be my last choice because it would be to much of a risk on my legacy to go to either NY or to NJ because both teams are bad and i would want the best chance at winning now and not having to wait 2 to 3 years to rebuild and try and convince someone else to play with me and he would not want to end up like patrick ewing to where he had a weak supporting cast his entire stay with ny and never win anything
I explained this all theyd have to do is not resign boozer trade kirilenko and miles and hed have to accept 12 mil instead of 16 which hes currently getting. the sacrifice for the talent youd be playing with would be worth it
sorry but there is no chance he goes to utah. he doesnt want a quiet peaceful town he wants the lime light. plus he's not going to accept less just to play with deron, millsap, okur
rose deng and noah sound a lot better and you can get a full contract
If I was Lebron, and wanted everyone to know I am the best the ever, have a good supporting cast, and be in a big city. I would sign straight up with the clippers. Yes, I know it is Kobe's city, but wouldn't it make Lebron look even better if he took over Kobe's city? If he makes the Clippers La's favorite team, he has surpassed Kobe and there would be no more talk to who the MVP is. It is a high risk high reward move that way, but if he takes over LA, he takes over the NBA. The clippers have solid pieces everyone except for one spot, the small forward position, and who plays there? Lebron James. He would have Baron, Gordon, Griffin, and Kaman. A solid point guard who can score/shoot. A shooting guard who has struggled but can be very good and is still young. A young power forward who could be very special and the athleticism between griffin and lebron would be crazy, they would just feed off each other. Kaman is a solid offensive low post presence that can shoot, not that great defensively but lebron will have his back. The team is quite young and can add other pieces through the draft and such. And everyone says go to NY cause it's the mecca, well LA is pretty big itself and is kinda hollywood.. So that's what I would do.
I would sign with NJ...
If Lebron went to Memphis, then I'm sorry but the Lakers would never make it to the finals again. I know that's a pretty bold statement but none of the teams the Lakers have faced in the playoffs have the size to compete with them. Memphis is the only team in the West with the front court size to give the Lakers trouble. Now if you add Lebron to Rudy Gay, OJ Mayo, and Marc Gasol...with 3 first round picks this year in the draft. Then you have one hell of a team. Even the great Kobe couldn't compete with that.
If I were Lebron James I would want to go to Chicago. They have the best supporting cast of those in the pool for getting him, mainly Derek Rose. I think playing off the ball and having someone create for him, would do him some good. Second, Chicago is a bigger market than Cleveland, which would help him become a bigger star, yet its not the new york market that would rip him apart after every bad game. Lebron has run out of excuses in cleveland. Say what you want, cleveland has gotten him help. It just hasn't worked out. Jamison was a 20 point scorer, mo williams was a 18 point scorer, and so on. They have not meshed well. Its time for him to get out of cleveland.
I agree jjmass I would go to chi town as well if i was Lebron. He and Rose would be tough to stop. They could also trade Luol Deng for a big power forward.
If I were LeBron James and my team ends up losing in the 2nd round of the playoffs, I would want to go home and cry in my big pile of cash. And then celebrate later because before too long I will have an even bigger pile of cash.
Best supporting cast, best weather.
Oh, and it's my team! LOL
he's going there and all yall going to be jumpin on the clips bandwagon.
2)To jump off a bridge
3)To your mothers house for some sweet p ussy
Jersey man look at what they offer
1. Young Supporting Cast(Lopez, Williams, Lee, Harris, CDR,)
2. Money for another top FA( Boozer or Bosh)
3. A New Coach
4. A New Arena
5. New Uniforms(LeBron loves uniforms)
6. Brooklyn Lights and Jay-Z
7. Fresh Canvas to solidify his legacy
8. Wall, Cousins, Turner or Favors a young stud.
9. Cavs are old and Nets are young
i only think new jersey has like 24 million not enough for two max contracts
