If they played football
It's NFL Draft night, which got me thinking about these NBA prospects and how many of them have football ability.
I think Kyle Anderson would make a good/great pocket quarterback. Great poise, vision, iq, great height to see the whole field, long arms to get great torque for the deep ball.
Nurkic could probably make a living on the offensive line with his great strength and quick feet laterally.
Wiggins would have been a great receiver, at least as a deep threat on the sidelines.
Smart looks like a strong safety/linebacker hybrid. With even more strength training he could be a middle linebacker in a 4-3.
Nick Johnson looks like a strong safety.
who else looks like they could have made a little money playing football?
That dude has defensive end written all over him.
PS, Milwaukee, please pick him up early in the 2nd round............
Alex Poythress looks like he'd be a dominate TE.
Randle could play defensive tackle with a nice power rush.
Aaron Gordon could be a tight end.
lol he is 6 foot 9, 250 pounds. The guards of the NFL would drive him back 10 yards before he even knew what hit him.
I think Randle is going to measure out at 6'7" flat or 6'7.25" without shoes, which is the height the nfl uses.
And while he's 250 now, he'll probably weigh 260 by the time of training camp his second year in the nba just by doing cardio. If this guy dedicated to training for football, I think he'd get up to 285 by the time he would be nfl draft eligible two years from now.
But he might be more in the 3/4 end mode like Richard Seymour than traditional DT because of his height, like you point out.
HB Jahii Carson
WR E Payton
Semaj Christon and Shabazz Napier look like standout cornerbacks.Markel Brown at free saftey. Jarnell Stokes looks like a 4-3 DE right now. PJ Hairston looks like he could be a OLB/TE hybrid a la Anthony Barr.
Deonte Burton and GRIII could probably do work at wideout.
Alot of people forget but Aaron Craft was actually a really good QB in high school.
He would make a great TE and actually might get an invite from the packers. I guess Rodgers went to a Kansas game and asked Black to play catch and came away impressed with what he saw
Wiggins - WR
Napier - QB
Patric Young - LB (perfect role)
Sim Bhullar - DL
Exum - C
Parker - RB
Embiid - DL & OL
Randle - OT
HAHAHAHAH...Dante Exum a 6'6'' 185 lb. center in the NFL. LAUGH MY ASS OFF! only about 120 lbs too light
Markel Brown as a receiver would be nasty
Jordair Jett at middle linebacker. dude measured in at 6'0'' 226 lbs at the PTI last week
Marcus Smart has the quarterback build, toughness, chip on shoulder, etc. He could be a scrambler who uses his bulk to stay upright and healthy, but can deliver a ball on point from a collapsing pocket.
Jarrod Polson as a kicker.
Joel played soccer growing up, lets make him the tallest kicker in NFL history, lol
Randle and Stokes might make good tight ends.
Marcus Smart could be a safety or a WR in the Terrell Owens mold
Sim Bhullar at fullback would be hilarious

Jabari Parker tight end
