With respect to the question asked in this thread, I think you can take Duke off the list, as Kelly is indefinitely out. They could still win, I just think their chances relative to the other teams you listed are considerably slimmer sans R. Kelly.
with all the tv analysts saying this and that theres 1 thing i agree with, it will be a very exciting tournament and no clear cut favorite. i mean theres a new #1 every week for god sakes. also, im really really looking forward to the mich/indy game this weekend
Eh, I don't know how I feel about them this year. I'm a Syracuse student and a diehard fan, but I don't know if I trust the team to put it together for 6 games in a row. Nobody on the team is really reliable outside of maybe CJ Fair and Jerami Grant. MCW, Southerland, Triche and XMas are so up and down, and they're our most important players.
I agree, I was just throwing it out there that they aren't ones to be overlooked. If Triche could find it within himself to take games over by the time the tourney comes around I'd say they have a lot better chance. Had Triche done so against Nova they wouldn't have lost. MCW just isn't a reliable jump shooter.
Kansas, no doubt should be the favorite. The difference between them and Michigan for me is Kansas has shown the ability to win close games and win ugly. Just about every game from the Sweet 16 onward is going to be close, and Kansas is cool as ice in those situations. Bill Self will win his second National Championship this year, mark my words on that.
I would probably have Michigan going all the way. The two losses were on the road at Indiana and Ohio State, and they were a bit short-handed with Morgan being hurt and Stauskas playing through the flu. There is nothing to be ashamed. Duke would be a short step behind, but I worry about their lack of big men behind Plumlee.

i know it can depend on who is matched up with who which we don't know yet but that is kind of the point. no cop outs. pick just one team and who would it be?
