if im the nets and i end up with the first pick
If im the nets and i end up the the number one pick i would package it to the raptors or the suns for a sign and trade for amare or bosh because IMO why they honestly take john wall when they already have a proven allstar PG who when healthy is a top ten PG in the league, some people look at the nets record from last season and forget that harris played hurt 90% of the season and they never got it going so they right him off and automatically john wall becomes there savior but in all honesty they wouldn't be that much better at all, all the nets need is a PF who can reb and score they already have parts to be a playoff team with harris, lee, williams, lopez, cdr and drafting wall would IMO would be drafting the same player just a younger version, they are both slight, long, fast and can jump the difference is that harris has a way better jumpshot and has the experience .
John Wall is a franchise PG.
Devin Harris was never seen as a player like that. He got good, but he isn't as good as he once was. NJ drafts John, sign and trade Devin Harris. Easy as that.
and He's better then Wall... keep Wall and hope he's D.Wade 2.0...Wade was looked at as a PG/SG as well...not saying he his Wade...but why not see what you got first...why start trading All Stars(the guy who wants the Sixers to trade Iggy for Evan Turner...) for unproven rookies....
ok well how bout this scenario, sign and trade for bosh but also sign lebron james...you give up that number one pick obviously for bosh and then u sign lebron, their startign linup would be harris, lee, lebron, bosh and lopez... its alot better then what lebron has in clevland dont u think?
The Nets should keep them both for at least half the season (well unless a Cleveland or a Toronto insists on getting Harris in a sign and trade for Lebron or whomever--but we will see what happens). The Nets should let Devin Harris and John Wall see what they can do together and at the same time reestablishing Harris' trade value.
Why would they sign and trade the #1 pick for Bosh/Amare when they can just outright sign either one of them? Makes no sense. If anything they would sign and trade for Bosh/Amare with a player they already have on their roster in order to make enough cap room to sign another max player.
I feel like having Harris play with Wall would just hurt Harris' value. He would obviously get less touches and run the point less, and probably average similar numbers as he did in Dallas; 15 and 5, where as if you trade him now he's viewed as a 17 and 6.5 pg one year removed from an allstar season where he averaged 21 and 7. GMs would understand that he was hurt all year, but if he was unable to show that he could play off the ball to Wall it would probably deter teams from taking him on. Indiana has Granger, Memphis has Mayo/Gay, Philly with Iggy ect, meaning all teams that may be in the market for a pg would need Harris to play off the ball often. Basically there's a risk of him being exposed and that as he gets further removed from being a top pg his value will decrease. I say if they win the lottery and are committed to Wall, trade him ASAP.
