If the Heat don't win the title

Would you take this trade if your Miami or Detroit?

Detroit Gets:
Chris Bosh
1st Round Pick

Miami Gets:
Greg Monroe
Rodney Stuckey
Jonas Jerebko

If I were

If I were Detroit I wouldn't want Chris Bosh. So no I would not pull this trade , it's not like you are getting an alpha personality with Bosh. Stick with what you got inside and try and improve on the perimeter via trade or FA if you are Detroit.

Pistons

They are not ready to really win anytime soon, so why trade for someone who is now a vet and a late pick for one of the best young bigs in the game.

Monroe is better than Bosh,

Monroe is better than Bosh, so throwing Stuckey & Jerebko in also is just a joke. Heat fan much?

Yeah, I agree with the

Yeah, I agree with the general sentiment. I wouldn't trade Monroe straight up for Bosh, let alone with those other pieces.

Sorry but

I'm a huge Detroit fan but I can't say I think Monroe is better than Bosh. Bosh, when in Toronto, was a beast. He improved every year and was a great scorer and a go-to guy. He's sacrificed alot going to Miami. I hate the heat and the big 3 but the more I look into it, Bosh is the only normal one of the big 3. He just plays his game and stays out of the drama as much as possible. But his game has changed, not because his skills diminshed, but because his role has changed. He has to be more of an outside scorer because Lebron and Dwade need the lane open. Monroe is the man in Detroit but hasn't yet turned the corner like Bosh did in his 3rd year in Toronto. Monroe's defense is suspect and he doesn't really have a go to move. He's a face up player that uses his quickness to get by power forwards and centers. Bosh has a legit low post game. As Monroe ages he'll lose his quickness and then whats he left with? I'm reeeeeally hoping Monroe turns the corner this year and becomes that 20-10 guy playing next to Drummond. Him and Knight both stayed the same for the last 2 years. I know they are both young, but this is a critical year for them both.

Clearly you don't know what

Clearly you don't know what you're talking about.

Monroe is bulkier, younger, faster, stronger, and can REBOUND. Not to mention he's an excellent passer for a post player with 3.5 APG compared to Bosh's 1.7 APG, how can Bosh only have 1.7 APG with LeBron/Wade and an endless amount of 3pt shooters to pass it off to? It's rather mind boggling.

The only thing Bosh really shines at over Monroe is he can hit a 3 once in awhile, but that's really stretching it.

I'm not a Heat fan

Was just looking for scenarios for the Heat to move Bosh because if they don't win, the rumors will begin and Bosh looks like the odd man out of the big three.

Bosh

Bosh is 20-10 anywhere else in the NBA. Monroe is younger, so of course his ceiling is higher than Bosh's, who is in the prime of his career. Monroe could only wish for the success that Bosh has achieved.

Bosh is going through what Pau Gasol is going thru in LA. He has to sacrifice such a great individual game for his coaches and teammates. SMH!

besides the trade stuff,

besides the trade stuff, imagine if the heat DONT win this thing? which is very possible. I mean it wil be the 3rd year and they would be 1 for 3 in which looked like it should be 3 for 3 when they all came ti miami. Making the finals every year is good but losing more times than winning isnt what was expected...On the other hand IF they win which is also very possible (and what i think will happen) it will be exactly what was expected...the loss to the mavs back in 2011 is understandable...they made it to the championship and lost thier first year..respectable...They HAVE to win it again this year though to keep this thing going

and back to bosh vs monroe, i think they are very close as in who is better. Bosh may have a higher profile from all those big scoring years in toronto but i mean monroe is coming up fast...Im looking for guys like him and D favors to have a big year next year. I mean personally I would take monroe over bosh but to each is own

lol

Better All Around Player Greg Monroe, better Scorer Bosh, the truth is Monroe is better because he is an excellent passer from the post 3.5 apg, he is better defender than Bosh not hard and he is good stealing the ball for a Big 1,3 spg about Bosh he was a beast with the raptors it's true, about him being a good rebounder i don't agree he only had 3 seasons with 10 rebounds per game and his career RPG are the same as Monroe 8,9 let's not take the credit for Bosh too he can shoot 3's but he is that good? nope i don't think so Bosh doesn't have a good back to the basket Game, Monroe have and he is a nice face up scorer too and not a bad mid range jumpshot for 22 yrs old player to have this kind of game and Bosh being 28yrs and didn't manage to evolve i think Monroe is better in my opinion

If Bosh wasn't so much older,

If Bosh wasn't so much older, I'd take the trade if I were Detroit. He'd play a lot better off of Drummond than Monroe by providing much better spacing, especially since he shoots at least 10 percent better in every shot location outside of the paint than Monroe.

That'd be critical when playing off of Drummond. There's a reason why Villanueva got quite a bit of playing time off the bench this year. It's easier to pair him with Monroe or Drummond because playing their best bigs together both congests the paint and makes it more difficult than it should to run the pick and roll.

But, like I said I'd take the trade if Bosh were younger by a few years. Even though he's been pretty healthy throughout his career, the price tag for him when he's in his low 30s is going to be too much for what he'd really be worth. That, and Greg Monroe still has plenty of time to develop, which hopefully is used to develop a mid-range jumpshot because Drummond sure doesn't look like a candidate to. If he doesn't it could mean keeping one or the other down the road.

But to also nitpick the trade, Miami wouldn't take Rodney Stuckey when they already have Chalmers and Cole as their backup guards.
