i think philly has to take cousins

philly has a lot of the wings locked down with Jrue n Iggy the need an athletic catch n shoot guy and a dominant low post presence.... I love turner but he was n the same high school class as mayo gordon harden rose etc.. did the extra 2yr or yr i n harden case n college make him as good as those guys.. i dont think he will be a franchise player but i think turner can be good he just doesnt fit in philly with jrue and iggy needing the ball..we might not see another cousins for a couple yrs...if u believe you can keep his head on straight and doug collins is a well respected coach you have have to take cousins number 2 turners come around more often then a cousins... 2 to minny for the 4 n 16pick... u take cousins and trade up from 16 to nab Henry or just take george or babbit if there available but if philly takes tunrer and keeps him its stupid what if he insnt better than iggy or jrue you wasted a number 2 pick on a role player..you take the best talent available while i love turner he isnt a better prospect than cousins especially if the ball isnt in his hands as much...

Cousins

His body fat % is extremely high for an NBA player. I would worry about paying him that much money. He has much more bust potential. His body fat % is over 30% more than Shaq's was at the combine. Most players Cousins weight in the league have not had close to the success that will be expected of Cousins.

yeah but i would be more

yeah but i would be more worried about it if he was a junior or senior he has yet to really be put into a strenuous weightlifting regime.. going to Philly to learn from Brand who is an excellent Role Model would benefit Cousins and he is the game changer i think there are only three in this draft wall cousins and favors because of his defense not so much his o at the moment.. i dont think philly is gonna take the ball out of Jrue and iggy;'s hands and turner is not a spot up shooter.... so is he better than iggy or jrue if the answer isnt a clear cut n dry yes u have to take the better prospect at a position u need and surround him with the type of nourishment he needs to be successful..

How would you be able to say

How would you be able to say Favors and Cousins are game changers but not Turner.Turner effects every aspect of the floor offensively.

Out Of All The PF's In The Top 10......

.........i would rather take Derrick Favors or Patrick Patterson over D. Cousins. idk, but Cousins seems kinda lethargic and interest-lacking on the court than Patterson. That's probly why Patterson is rated ahead of Cousins on this site, currently ?

I Would only draft Cousins at 4 and only to trade him again

I'd trade down to Wolves...Sammy and the 2pick for Big Al and the 4th...let them draft Turner...wait for Cousins,Then I'd call the Clippers and ask for Kaman and the 9th for Iggy and Cousins...see how they react then ask for a 2nd rounder....Walk away with Big Al(20/10 when healthy) and C.Kaman(top 10 center no doubt)...We'd have the 9th pick to grab X.Henry/P.George to devolope at the 2 spot...It would get no better than to dump Sammy...trade 2 pick....Steal Jefferson...trade Cousins...give up Iggy...Net Kaman...And draft Henry at the 9th spot....Holiday and Henry will be a fine back court...the front court will be dominate...Brand and Speights become the 1/2 punches at 4 and 5...Thad can now be a main focus of the offense...Kapono and Green or decent back ups and come of books next summer....sign a rookie point guard to back up Holiday for future...or sign one via MLE

I am not feeling your idea at all man. In no way do we need to "dump" sammy since he is an expiring, and why would we want both Kaman and big Al? 2 for 4 and 16 is all I really want to do.

trsde the pick

this may be one of the best draft in years so most teams would be hesitant to trade the pick but if you can get big al, kaman and get sammy off the books it would be worth it.

agreed

I agree that cousins serves philly much better then turner. plus you already have young at the 3 and even though he is kind of up and down he is good and fits our style, this could be our starting line up. Cousins, brand, iggy, young, holiday. + we still have some of the best back ups in lou and speights.

On talent alone, and team

On talent alone, and team needs, they should take him. I definitely agree 32mayo. I said this before, I feel Cousins is a once in a decade kind of center. Is there things he needs to work on (conditioning, weight) of course, but what prospect is perfect. The sad part about it is Philly probably won't take him and it might have nothing to do with actual basketball, but all the other supposed "red flags" that come up with that kid might drop him further than his talent suggests.

Well to me it depends on what

Well to me it depends on what type of system Doug Collins is trying to run if he decided he wanna stay with the up tempo game then maybe Turner is the right choice if he decides to run a half court offence then of course Cousins is your man....but at the #2 pick u CAN NOT.!! pass on Turner if u wanted to or your going to loose your job Turner can play 3 positions PG-SF were talking bout a 6''7' gaurd who averaged 9 boards and 6 dimes a game I think if philly was smart they will wait to see where Cousins land and make some type of a deal but the reason I wouldnt take him at #2 is beacuse he do have a lil bust potential and thats only beacuse of his attitude and work ethic I think once he gets his starting role and get banged around a lil bit thats gonna push him inside the weight room and loose a couple pounds. but yes i agree with u all Philly is in a Win-Win situation and can really add some bulk to the roster rather its Cousins or Turner........

philly

is an up tempo team. they have been drafting that way for awhile. brand was said to have ruined the team but its the coach's fault for not allowing them to run more. just use brand in the half court sets. cousins will not help there run and gun team at all. they need to take turner and pair him up with iggy on the wing or trade down to the highest bidder
