You guys were #1 in points allowed in the whole league! Very impressed, hope you guys matchup with the Warriors in the playoffs soon, that matchup would be intriguing.

Glad you figured that out… Now who’s future is brighter in your opinion, T-Wolves or Jazz

In my humble opinion the T Wolves.  I think both Wiggins and Towns project to be better than any of the current Jazz players.  Gobert will be special on the defensive end but I still give the nod to Towns.

More promising, Utah, higher ceiling, T-Wolves. Good stuff happens when you have 3 #1 picks on one team.

Coming from a twolves fan. The Jazz should be able to contend for the next 5 to 8 years and at a minimum have a run like the grizzlies are having. The twolves have the potential to be a top 1 to 4 team in the west in 2 or 3 years for 5 years with the potential for 1 or 2 championships. Flip Saunders could also mess it up and the twolves become a fringe contender as in a 6 to 8 seed for 4 or 5 years and having maybe one shot like the garnett years.  I would take the championship potential over being a contender being one star or one move away from a championship, but that is not a bad place to be either.

Rudy Gobert and Dante Exum are the best young defensive duo in the NBA. I’m happy to argue this, but check out the difference it made to the Jazz when Kanter & Burke were replaced with Gobert and Exum.

It’s something like -22 points per 100 possessions. Teams just couldn’t score against them.

P.S. OKC are realllllllly going to regret signing Enes Kanter.

I can see that being true.

Ehhh I feel like Ibaka and kanter compliment each other pretty damn well.

Kanter’s defensive stats were terrible no matter what. With Ibaka, even with Gobert. He’s that bad, even when he plays with some of the best defenders in the NBA.

San Antonio and Golden state have won as teams with no player who is top talent in the league like a LeBron Durant. I get that Curry was the MVP AND Duncan is a HOF player, but they didn’t carry their teams, (Duncan has in the past but not the last two rings) they led them as the key piece to an amazing team.

You need all-star talent, health, longevity, and a few elite skills as a team and you can contend for a championship. Utah has that. Gobert has never-before-seen length and agility that had him putting up historically good numbers defensively. So does Exum  at PG. to be performing at those levels at ages 19 and 22 is amazing. Both will improve offensively.

Utah has the players to be better both defensively and offensively than Memphis.

Exum and Burks are elite at getting to the hoop. If Exum learns to finish he will be a physical mismatch his entire career.

Hayward is a semi-elite playmaker who will be better when the rest of the team develops. I believe Hood has similar potential for playmaking with a higher ceiling as a shooter

Gobert and Favors are elite roll guys at the rim  all that adds up to definite championship potential in my opinion

Duncan won 3 MVPs and back to back Season MVPs. Curry wasan MVP this year too. I would call that top talent. Not only that but the Stockton Malone, Williams Boozer, and Millsap Jefferson Jazz teams all failed to get over the hump without top tier talent.
