SwatLakeCityParticipantIts certainly possible after what he did tonight. Maybe people just gave you negative feedback because you don’t normally expect Rondo to have more than 11 assists or so. He is great passer but not as good as Dwill or CP3, Nash, and Kidd. I actually start to believe this more and more. Although, I think CP3 will beat him out because he will be looking to rebound from his averages last year. He will also want to play the best he can in order to entice more teams in possible trade situations or signing destinations. (If he decides to opt out of the last year of his contract.) Right now I would put Rondo at #2, right behind CP3. (I would love to put Dwill at the top but after how has performed so far in 2 games, I have just been disgusted and not very happy with his performance. Still I give him the benefit of the doubt since he is still acclimating to his new teammates.)

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantIt’s not close, statisticlly it is but not in terms of true passer’s…Paul and Williams are scorer PG’s that pass the ball very well…

durantula83ParticipantIt will be between him, Williams & Paul. But no doubt is Rondo the most versatile point guard in the league, he’ll give your team everything you need; points at a high percentage, assists, rebounds, he was last years league leader in steals, also a First Team All-NBA Defensive Team member. There’s still room for him to improve his long range and free throw shooting though.

bdoody42ParticipantIf Nash plays 35-27 minutes a game he could also push to lead the league in assists. Only thing holding him back maybe his teammates.

JNixonParticipantI agree with anyone who says Rondo is the best passer in basketball. Chris Paul and Deron Williams are better players than Rondo, but Rondo to me knows who to get the ball to in certain instances (meaning he sets up guys to score and/or do what their best at; like hitting Ray Allen perfectly so he can get off his shot, Garnett to make his 15 footers etc etc), isn’t turnover prone, and he can pass equally well in the drive and dish, transition, basic ball swings, and hitting cutters or spot up shooters. To me, he’s the best pure passer out there.
