I have an ego problem!

I understand that almost every player in the NBA has an ego problem & nobody had one bigger then "Stephon Marbury". Everyone is saying Lance is a problem child which is well documented, but aside from Lance since he has "made it"...........

Which NCAA players had a terrible ego problem that kept them from being drafted or in the NBA at all?

To this day I wonder what John Gilchrist would have been in the NBA, if he did not have a run-in with Gary Williams. Word was an incident between Gilchrist & Williams is what messed his stock up to keep him from being drafted or what not. I do not know how true it is, but I always thought at the time when he was in college, he was the best ACC PG even ahead of Ray Felton. Does anyone know what has kept Gilchrist from being on a NBA roster?

John Gilchrist, Maryland – As a sophomore in 2003-04, Gilchrist looked like one of the top players in the ACC and a sure-first first-round selection when he decided to make himself available for the draft. A disappointing junior season, coupled with reports of an attitude problem, has damaged his stock in recent weeks. On talent alone, Gilchrist should be one of the top players in camp this week. Whether he plays like it is another question.

He didn't have a good junior season and it dropped him, plus the fact he was a problem made him not worth it.

and by that i mean how the hell are you going to say the lakers don't have a true playmaker? a playmaker isn't someone who just passes, they make plays for either themselves or others. To say that kobe and pau are not playmakers is stupid.

Attention all cyber thugz

I don't do internet beef - that's for McLoser

And for the win dude, let's keep this respectful man

My point though was that the Lakers lack a playmaking PG. Additionally, in the post I made disclaimers about Kobe and Pau, and even the Triagle offense. The fact is Kobe is a scorer, not a playmaker. The plays he does make comes from teams assuming that he is going for the score and overplaying him. In that case, as any basketball player would, he makes the smart play. There have only been a few times I've seen Kobe actively trying to involve his teams in the offense.

I was high on Gilchrist. He had a crazy wingspan something close to 7ft. Just too much attitude concerns. That same year LAL took Wafer who had punched an apponent at a workout for the Lakers. Anybody know what Gilchrist is into these days?

Joseph Forte

Joseph Forte was the man in college. He was just as good if not better than Jay Williams, and bigger. Coaches couldnt deal with him though. Same for Rashad McCants.
