cbeckermanParticipantfirst African Baller can s-ck it , you may be right that mikeyv should not tell people when to post, but people should also not create posts when their has been a thread created on the subject already they should add relevant content their. calling mikeyv an internet bully is ridiculus when I was being attacked by everyone on this site on my old name kavak13 ,he was the only one defending me. he has a very intelligent perspective and always adds colorful commentary. calling people racial names on a website is simply ridiculus and unintelligent and shows your true character. I havent posted in forever because of log in issues, I thought I was banned, for what I do not know. I have been watching in silence{ please excuse the pun on my name} till africanballer got my dander up.
now to my steve nash question- if he wanted to stay close to pheonix why didnt he consider the nuggets or jazz? how would he have changed or added to their teams?

Anton123ParticipantI’m sure Nash just wants to get a ring and finish his career

cbeckermanParticipanthe would have had the same chance to do so with either of those teams, I for one cannot name the weakness of the nuggets except too much balance, no star player. winning 3 to 5 more games does not mean that the lakers are in any better position to compete for a championship and I fail to see how the lakers besides nash have seriously improved thier team this summer.

also if you google steve nash and utah jazz plenty of articles about it as well so not like this was not thought about or would not have made sense.

mgreener_34ParticipantThe Lakers, like the Yankees, have the pedigree and aura of "If you join this team, you’re winning a championship". Those are the only two sports teams that give you that vibe. Not Utah and and certainly not Denver. Nash want’s to win a championship with his fellow veterans, not young up and coming players.

cbeckermanParticipantthat if nash had joined the jazz they would have won 55 games next year. I think he fit the talent that they have perfect. they already have one of the best frontcourts in the league, it is a shame it did not happen.

Tyreke JohnsonParticipantthe jazz frontcourt has potential but is nowhere near the level of playing with bigs like gasol and bynum who is becoming a star. derrick favors and enes kanter are far from finished products and got eaten alive in the playoffs. paul millsap is good but nothing spectacular.
the nuggets even with nash wouldnt improve that much for they would have no star. nash gets to play with KOBE BRYANT, and create easy shots for a surefirer Hall of Famer. the nuggets are a great team dont get me wrong, they have tons of depth, but nash had a better, more experienced team in a win now mentality who have two seasoned 7 footers and Kobe Byrant. The Lakers find ways to compete, they offered Nash a solid enough contract for a few years and he is extremely close to his children. He made the best decision, without a doubt.

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantWhy would the nuggets want Nash when they have a young budding star Ty Lawson playing point guard? Bringing Nash in will only stunt his growth as hes too good to be a back up and learn for 2-3 years

cbeckermanParticipantread the article when one is provided- otherwise its just being lazy.

mj23mj23besteverParticipantyes nash would have made utah better but he stands a better shot at winning a ring with kobe gasol and bynum and on that mention the lakers didnt improve anywhere else so jamison whos still good for 15 a night off the bench at the 3 or 4 isnt upgrading the bench?
