Here is some big hypothetical trade that I just thought of now after reading another thread on here.

Well, I think some super stars need to move around.

Blake is on the block even if the coach won’t admit it.  Not that they would give him away, but they would listen to offers.

In a thread that I just read here, one Kings fan said that Willie Cauley-Stein looks promising.

    Hmm.

What about Blake Griffin, Branden Dawson and the 25th pick to the Kings for DeMarcus Cousins, Seth Curry, and Caron Butler?

The Kings get their superstar.  At the 4 he would be a GREAT FIT next to WCS.  Then Rondo can throw him alley-oops all day.

They have their own pick, plus the Clips pick at 25 to get some younger assets.

The Clippers get a franchise go-to guy.  He is basically a center but not afraid to shoot from anywhere on the court.  I think he is skilled enough to give DeAndre Jordan enough room to operate inside.  CP3 to Cousins pick and rolls would be nice.

Caron Butler is an old vet that can give you some 3’s and some hard nosed play.

Seth Curry has good genes.  Still young, too.  If he gets going he could open up the inside game even more for the Clippers.  Dawson gives them some more youth at the forward spots.

I like Cousins better in a CP3 style slow down offense, especially in the playoffs.

It would be a modified, rich man’s Grit ‘n Grind version with Cousins in that Z Bo roll.  Paul Pierce or Caron Butler play at the 3.  JJ Reddick at the 2.  CP3 running the show.

Then if other teams play Hack DeAndre then the Kings can just move Cousins over to the 5 and play a bit smaller at the forward spots.

CP3 and Cousins would KILL.  JJ Reddick would be a good spot up shooter for those guys.  Jordan and Cousins would get pretty much EVERY rebound.

Rondo could really run with the Blake Show.  Blake, Rudy, and WCS still might win a ton but they would be really fun to watch.  I think that would open things up for McLemore too.  Or, they use their draft pick on an outside threat.

I never really post trade ideas, but I was playing with the trade machine the other day and came across with this three-team trade scenario that works money wise and uses a couple of the same teams and players you have in yours.

Clippers trade: Blake Griffin, Lance Stephenson and CJ Wilcox.

Clippers receive: Al Horford, Rudy Gay and Mike Scott

Why: The Clips keep insisting that they’re not looking to trade Griffin but if they can get a versatile All-Star PF, finally get the starting SF in Gay they’ve been missing and add depth to the front court they should at least consider it. This does shorten their window of championship opportunity though with CP3, Horford and Gay all being 29 or 30 years old.

Atlanta trades: Al Horford, Kent Bazemore, and Mike Scott

Atlanta receives: DeMarcus Cousins and CJ Wilcox.

Why: The Hawks might lose Horford and Bazemore in free agency anyway, with this trade they get back an elite young talent in return. Obvious winners in this deal, they might be willing to part with a draft pick as well to make this happen.

Sacramento trades: DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay

Sacramento receives: Blake Griffin, Lance Stephenson, and Kent Bazemore.

Why: Despite Cousins talent, the Kings have considered moving him but want a top player coming back. Griffin would be that player and would give them the perfect fit next to WCS. They also lose Gay, which hurts but he’s hardley untradeable and Bazemore gives them a young 3 and D guy who should fit in seamlessly with their offense. Stepenson is more of a throw in to make salaries match, but he’s also a low risk gamble that could revert back to the ball-handler and defender he was in Indy. A draft pick from ATL or LAC might sweeten the pot for them.

If Cousins and CP3 were put on the same team… oh man would shit go down. The one player Cousins hates above all else is Chris Paul.

Why is everyonr so keen to trade Gay? I haven’t seen the Kings this season but his productivity seems good, he doesn’t appear to be as keen to take everyshot he can get his hands on and I no longer hear anything negative about him. That’s why I ask why do so many suggested trades through this site involve Gay?
