Huntington Prep vs Cape Henry: Currently on ESPN
I'm a bit upset that I did not know he was playing in my hometown today because I would have went to the game but I'm not too bummed about it because it's televised along with the NFL games so I'm not missing a thing.
Wiggins is gonna be a good one.
The way he scores at the rim, reminds me of Lebron. The way he takes over games, reminds me of Lebron.
As an athlete, he's so much more than a leaper. The other team ties game, he decides to take over... he goes on to make all kinda of aggressive plays and he didn't even break a sweat.
Literally, HE DOESNT SWEAT, reminds me of Lebron in that regard as well.
I like how he is very active around the rim on defense and always looking to change shots, also he is very quick off his feet when jumping.
Loked great. Shot the ball at a high percentage. Lts of put backs and jams. Not sure on his line, but finished with somewhere around 30. Dominated the game on national t.v. The kids game is ready for the league
He was truly Elite today and Cape Henry is not a slouch team, they are one of the best in their state. Wiggins didn't even look like he was going hard and still had 28 on a like 13 or 14 shots. Got to the line a good amount.Blocked some shots and had tip in's and also had a signature dunk.Very good show today.
I've seen 3 Huntington Prep games so far this yr and I think I saw him make 1 jumper...maybe 2.
I was there in person yesterday at Churchland HS in Portsmouth VA for the MLK Roundball Classic. Seriously no one in this area knew about Wiggins being in town because the gym was empty. I'm sure he could hear me doing the FSU chant they do during football games everytime he scored. Overall, in person the kid is lanky as hell and has to be one of the quickest leapers I've ever seen. There was one play that had the pass been on target he would've thrown an alley down with one hand catching it in the air elbow over the rim. I was impressed with athleticism and how good he is down low. One on one no one in America can guard him. One thing is for sure the kid's game isn't as polished as I thought it was. His handles and jumpers need work, but with him being such a crazy athlete if he has a great work ethic that will come easily.
And to be honest Moses Kingsley of Huntington Prep impressed me the most out of all the players I saw at the tourney. Kid had to have 7-8 blocks and he went on like a 6-0 run by himself late in the game to help Huntington blow Cape Henry out. I think hes going to Arkansas and they got a good one...I'd be interested to know if there's a better shot blocker in America.

At the HS level probably Marcus Lee, who's averaging something like 18/21 7 blks a game. He's a former volleyball player like Withey too, so he's got natural shot blocking timing.

Says it all in the title for those who didn't know and that means we got Andrew Wiggins front and center.
