sixersman111ParticipantWhy hasnt a team traded for him and called his bluff on leaving during free agency. B/c the nets dont have the money to sign him during free agency and do do people really think he is going to take a mid level expection. Idk to me its worth it

rhamnlacsonParticipantif your not from a championship team or a playoff team and you get howward without the star players to back him up he will leave the year after and the whole franchise is screwed

WolfRobParticipantThat was a serious post?
The bobcats should give Orlando MKG, Biyombo, Henderson, and their next year pick (unprotected).
Sound like a good trade to you?

Memphis MadnessParticipantIf Dwight Howard goes to a team and doesn’t want to resign there, can that team still do a sign and trade?

fcb206ParticipantI think its pretty obvious no team is going to offer a decent package for howard unless they know hes going to sign an extension. the NBA isnt like other sports. teams need time to gel. you cant just crash the party and buy a title. even the heat took a year to figure it out.
I think if Orlando had recieved a single decent offer for Dwight Howard at any point in the last 12 months they would have taken it. In my opinion, Dwight Howard is a damn punk. If he wanted out of orlando he shouldnt have burned every bridge leading out of town. at this point, Orlando isnt even getting 30 cents on the dollar in any of these deals. they should deactivate him for the entire 2012-2013 season, tell him to go fawk himself for a year, and take the top five pick from sucking and the cap relief from not resigning him. To me, thats a better situation than any package theyre being offered.
*edit…the best part about that situation is then Howard could NEVER join the Nets, because they would have to sign him to a max deal straight up and they just used their cap space on williams, wallace and the johnson trade.

fcb206ParticipantDwight Howard trade rumor I heard:
Dwight Howard to the Milwaukee Bucks for Jennings, Ellis, Henson, milwaukee’s next ten first round picks (unprotected) and the right to swap first rounders in 2024.
IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE! WHY HASNT ORLANDO PULLED THE TRIGGER?
