I mean, it is obviously a great concept of a team, but I can still be skeptical about it happening, right? Just do not see how it will work having four guys making over 10 million per year. Mikhail Prokhorov might not care about money, that is a genuine possibility, just have a really hard time seeing that as the case.

If they do somehow land Dwight, thus having 4 guys making 8 figures per season, than it will more than likely lead to OKC doing the exact same thing. As advantageous as Dwight Howard may be in the middle, have to say I am not completely sure OKC's foursome is not on the same level. Not to mention, Kevin Durant being the best player amongst either team. Than you still have the chemistry of a team like Miami, with arguably the best player in the world.

That Nets team seems like a contender on paper, but it will still have to supply other pieces. Not to mention, they will get charged RIDICULOUS penalties for being over the cap. As I stated, this may not matter to Prokhorov, but I genuinely think money always plays a part in ones decisions (even if you are ridiculously wealthy Russian oligarch). I would like to see this team constructed before I really give them a grade, but they would definitely be a formidable foursome. Even so, they would have many things to contend with in their own conference, not to mention if they played the Thunder kids in the Finals.

I fully agree with 7 and your assessment(sp?).

On paper it looks like a pretty nice mix of both offense & defense capability, but how it will pan out on the court is a whole different animal. All four of these were go-to players at some point in their career, meshing that together could potentially be a mess. I mean when the Heat first got together they started off pretty slow, but they got it together eventually.

But the difference between the Heat and these guys, is the Heat players were all drafted together and have been for the most part close friends. I also think LeBron & Wade's determination to win is on a whole other level than these four players. Gerald Wallace probably has the most determination of the list, but DWill, JJohnson, & ESPECIALLY Dwight don't strike me as lay it all on the line to win type of players. I'm not saying it won't work, but I have a hard time seeing it right now. I hope they could prove me wrong(if this ever even happens...), but I doubt this lineup gets past the second round.

Then again, the more we

Then again, the more we talked with this new crop of Mavericks the harder it was to simply dismiss them out of hand.

I’m settled in and I feel

I’m settled in and I feel comfortable with the coaches and everybody around me. We have a great staff here and I’m really happy to be here at this point. … Since 2008 I played with Dirk on the German national team even though I’m not very German. I think I have some ancestors somewhere down the line. I’ve been very comfortable during the offseason and the summer participating with him at the different events. I knew from conversations with him the kind of guy Mark was and Coach Carlisle that this would be a great place to play.”
