Lebron is the greatest physical talent the world has ever seen in Basketball that is able to do everything. Kobe physically is a great talent, and I would say has nearly the perfect body for the SG spot. However the thing that has set him about apart is his heart and determination. I think other then the rings, that is the reason why MJ has been siding with Kobe even now. Because he sees himself in Kobe approach to the game and play more than anyone else.

I think micheal jordan sees in kobe the same ambition and relentless drive that helped himself achieve the title of being the GOAT ( Greatest Of All Time ). That is no doubt one of the reasons he chose kobe over lebron. I agree with mike I think kobe bryant will always be considered better than lebron james. Kobe's addiction to the game of basketball when it comes to his great desire to maximise his skill level to their fullest potential combined with his great efforts to push himself to be the best ever. Has allowed kobe to achieve a level of success that is very similar to the great success micheal jordan achieved while playing the game of basketball. Kobe Bryant has a level of work ethic, heart, determination, and love for the game basketball that has completely turned him into a basketball genius and that has completely turned him into a basketball god. I love lebron, but lebron is only bigger, stronger, and faster than kobe and lebron also has better court vision and passing instincts. But that's it, In terms of overall basketball skills and the ability to consistently play at a extremely high level in clutch/pressure based situations, kobe is no doubt the more skilled basketball player when being compared to lebron james.
