Puregreen5ParticipantHe passes the eye test, interms of a young SG prospect (6’5" and still growing, 6’10" wingspan, good vert and speed, 19 years old, improving shot). How will the Suns ultize him, in their line-up next season? 6th or 7th man? He’s not ready yet, but I could see Goodwin staring at SG for the Suns, in a couple of years. He could play some small ball, with Bledsoe and Dragic on the court together. Goodwin at SF could work, in certain situations/stretches. What are your thoughts on him, as a future player for the Suns? Thanks

JoeWolf1What information do you have that says he’s still growing? I’ve heard absolutely nothing about him growing.
I like Goodwin, he’s a good fit in Hornacek’s system, but probably as a 3rd guard rather than a SF. He’s a little rough around the edge as far as decision making goes, but he’s a great athlete and a good enough ball handler to get up and go in transition. He’ll need to continue to work on his jump shot, but he does have potential, he just needs to put in some work before he’s ready to play big minutes.
That being said, I think he’ll see an up in the 10.7 mpg he played last year, and I think he’ll put up points in the minutes he plays. I could see him put up 6.5 ppg in 15 mpg in 14-15.

arshavin123ParticipantI think he just needs seasoning..will enter the season without pressure…lead the second unit and play defense..I agree with the decision making part, seems like he’s forcing it sometimes and unsure what to do..

Chilbert arenasParticipantAt this point he can make his imprint on the defensive end. He has the physical tools to be a stud on that side of the ball and will ensure more minutes. His shot is a work in progress, but clearly has progressed since his freshman year at UK. This Bledsoe contract situation is hampering any expectations I have for the Suns this season, not entirley sure what direction they’re going in until that’s taken care of.
