Where do they go with this draft? Assuming that Scola is re-signed they have him, jordan hill, and jeffries at that position in which they all will probably provide minutes at the center position to help Yao. I have read that many believe they will take a sg but i think with kevin martin, ariza, battier, budinger able to play both sg and sf positions with jermaine taylor being a backup sg they may be set at those positions. I would like for Whiteside to be there when they select or any center to help provide some depth since scola and hill are really PF’s. After seeing babbit lately I have been impressed but idk how they would be able to work him in to their rotation. Hopefully Yao is able to return at some point in the season, with him this team offensively is going to put up points. Who do you think they should select in this draft?? That would be great if Monroe slips to 14, keeping my fingers crossed (lol this isnt happening but its a thought).

Whiteside makes sense. He can play center while Yao is out but if/when Yao comes back he can moves to the PF and Houston will finally not have an undersized PF.

Cole Aldrich wouldn’t be a bad pick either.

Houston needs to take best available player because there may not be anybody for them to take there for their needs. They need a bk up center. Maybe they can trade their pick for an asset. Philly may give up Dalembert for some expiring contracts and a pick.

76ers wanna get rid of Dalembert badly every year. You don’t really need to send them a pick to get Dalembert. I think a few expiring contracts would do as the 76ers can then either waive or trade away those guys to save more money.

For the Rockets, I think it’s fine even if they just keep the team together and draft the BPA. Whiteside would be a great backup for Yao and potentially the center of the future. He’s already working out with the Dream in Houston, so hopefully he can pick up a few things from the the Dream and eventually takes over the Center spot for the Rockets when Yao Ming getting too old to start.
