Horrible Refereeing In The Finals Game 2

This is disgusting. We are not only seeing players diving and getting away with it but we see the greatest player in the game sitting on the bench do to at least 2 horrible calls.Glen Davis clearly blocked Bynums shot yet it was a foul.

Man who cares its still a

Man who cares its still a great game. Ray Allen is going all out with his threes. And honestly I don't think the refs will determine the game or any game. Whoever wins will win because they earned it not because of the refs. I am getting tired of everyone hating on the officials when they very rarely determine the outcome of games.

Wesley it's not effecting the

Wesley it's not effecting the game right now but if Kobe has 5 fouls with 5 minutes to play and the game is tied then is it effecting the game.If KG and Perks both have 5 fouls with 5 minutes left in the game then is it effecting the game.

I know these guys have a tough job but like Knicksboy said they definitely are not the stars.They need to get the bright lights out of thier eyes, do a professional job, and live up to the standards that got them refereeing the finals.

reffing has been crap both

reffing has been crap both ways. like you said 2 of those fouls on kobe were bs. ANd that foul on davis block was absolutely legit. DOnt watch the ball, he slams into the body beofre the block. It wasnt even a straight up jump, he jumped into bynum, but the announcers werent looking at that. Kg alos knocked that ball out of bounds and they gave it to boston at the end.

Dont get me wrong, it sucks both ways. But please dont act like the refs are doing the lakers any faovrs and its all against boston.

Yea... That foul called on

Yea... That foul called on Davis was actually a good call. He did get a clean block... Problem was he couldn't keep his fat ass belly from making contact with Bynum.

The officiating was horrible. One of the fouls called on Artest defending Pierce was a joke. The two fouls on Kobe, especially the one where Rondo fell out of bounds was an absolute joke. Everybody loses when arguably the best player on the planet has to sit out with BS fouls. The offensive foul called against him vs Ray Allen was TERRIBLE. The foul called against Artest on Rondo during the loose ball towards the end of the game was just sad. Then they turn around and let Rondo basically do the same thing to Kobe the very next play. And how hard was it to see on the instant replay that Garnett touched that ball going out of bounds? The missed And One by Bynum in the first half... The refs were a joke tonight.

Other than an absolute shooting clinic by Ray Allen, some great passes by Rondo and strong play by Bynum... This game was terrible. I feel robbed to be honest.

thank you butler. Hearing the announcers say that was a clean block was silly. I dont want to complain though. I just think its funny people on here are watching that game and acting like the celtics got screwed.

NO EXCUSES....how can you feel robbed? They just got outplayed. There were questionable calls both ways. lakers got alot of whistles as seen on the stat sheet. Celtics were the better team today.

@mikenike How can I feel

@mikenike

How can I feel robbed?

Ron Artest - 6 fouls
Kobe Bryant - 5 fouls... Two of them being awful.
Andrew Bynum - 5 fouls
Lamar Odom - 5 fouls and only 15 minutes

Kevin Garnett - 5 fouls and only 24 minutes

I want to see the players decide the game, not the refs. That's disappointing. I'm not making exuses for anybody. I just think the officiating was horrible. I think it's bad for the game when the refs are the stars instead of the players.

You made your post with anomosity. I guess that's because LeBron James, Mo Williams, Delonte West and the whole city of Cleveland are sitting at home watching the Lakers and Celtics compete for another NBA championship... Don't take your anger out on me little man. I just want to see a great NBA Final.

My complaining also has

My complaining also has nothing to do with the series being 1-1. I can take a loss like a big boy. What sucks is the refs. I dont care who you are pulling for, these guys are screwing up, and i stick up for refs as much as anyone normally. Way too many bad calls.

Also most of the calls

Also most of the calls against the Lakers were in the last 3 or 4 min when the game was decided. The game was back and forth before then.

Lakers got robbed .

Boston played well but Lakers rallied back just to have the refs screw them at the end.

I knew this would happen.

@mikenike The Lakers did get

@mikenike

The Lakers did get outplayed.

They did a horrible job closing out on Allen. Brown had a ton of mental lapses today. When you're defending against a player that can move without the ball and shoot as well as Allen, the entire defense has to communicate. That didn't happen. The Celtics were on point defensively, while the Lakers weren't.

Nobody blocked out Rondo all game. They didn't control Rondo like they did in game one. Artest played great defense on Paul Pierce, but he shot 1-10 and threw a key turnover late in the game. The Lakers shot 5-22 from three-point range.

Rasheed Wallace was huge off of the bench.

You didn't offend me. I'm

You didn't offend me. I'm also not a Lakers fan. Like I said... I just want to see a great Final.

As a fan of basketball... Two or three of those fouls on Kobe make me puke. I called off work to watch, arguably the greatest player in the game, sit on the bench... And then struggle to play aggressively when he was in because of it. I didn't get to see KG battle with Gasol because KG only played 24 minutes.

After the offensive foul against Kobe... The refs tried to make up for it by calling a cheap offensive foul on Ray Allen at the other end... Disgusting.

That missed out of bounds call was at a key point in the game. The Lakers were down three. The refs gave the ball to the Celtics and Rondo ended up hitting a jumper. That was a big play right there. The calls down the stretch of the game were just awful. The foul called against Artest on Rondo during that live ball was just terrible.

Great win by the Celtics. I haven't been too satisfied with the playoffs, so I hope the series goes seven games. I don't want to see the games controlled by the refs though. Left a bad taste in my mouth tonight.

reffing has been inconsistant all playoffs

on the score sheet looks as if lakers had an advantage due to so many ft attempts. The refs were calling a REALLY tight game and Boston is naturally a much more physical defensive team and they had a hard time adjusting. It was bad officiating, but it wasn't bad officiating that ended up costing either team the game. There were blown calls both ways, mabe there were a few cheapies on Kobe, but how many times in these playoffs alone has the guy got a superstar call while hes out of control or been allowed to blatantly mug a guy for the ball... &$#%#&@! happens. Rondo was huge in the 4th, the C's do wut they did almost every game in the magic series, go thru a stretch where they look like theyve never played together offensively but grit their teeth, lockdown on D and just execute over the finale few minutes. Props to Ray Allen for showing us why he wus chosen to lead a spike lee movie :P shud be a very interesting and intense game 3

Lakers got robbed thats a joke.
Celtics got squeezed on 2 block shots calls, meanwhile Lakers block what 13 shots and get called for no fouls on them.
Both teams need to adjust their game to refs calling it tight.

Kinda funny.

Each team had 29 fouls and the Lakers shot more free throws. I am a celtics fan and maybe im bias, but I dont think that numbers can lie. I dont think Laker fan wants to admit that Allen played an amazing half and Rondo finished the game very strong.

i dont think anyone with

i dont think anyone with common sense would deny allen had an amazing half and rondo finished great. Lakers didnt deserve to win, i dont see too many people complaining about the result of the game. Just the officiating sucked, which it did, for both teams. ANd as for the ft's, lakers were going inside to pau and bynum the whole game who both had 20 point games. Celtics played on the perimiter and were carried by their gaurds. Of course the lakers should have more ft attempts in that siuation.

Argee

I argee with you for most part about the different style of play but Rondo doesnt do his damage outside. He has to attack the basket and put pressure on the defense. I think refs have always been bad but some people seem to use as an excuse when things dont go there way. I am not saying llperez that you are this way but many irrational fans are.

i agree, i am always saying

i agree, i am always saying people point the fingers too much. Honestly, i think a lot of people dont like seeing better teams win so they make up a conspiracty theory. And I wish the lakers did foul rondo more yesterday. He had way too many easy layups.

Agreed

Fans who are either ill informed or irrational always have excuses why there team isnt successful. Refs or davis stern seem to be the most often used right now. Im Celics fan and in game 1 we got straight beat and cant make excuses.

I watched the game and if you

I watched the game and if you get 4 bad calls or more in the last few minutes you will probably lose every game. Celtics played hard and kept it close but without those call, they would not have sealed the deal.

Lakers scored more in the paint which tends to get more fouls while Celtic relied on Allens 3 for the most part.

Also refs did not call game consistent on both side.

Sheltwon

The celtics relied on the 3.'s the first half of the game. Look the lakers lost just like the celtics did in game 1. The serious is tied and all that matters. Lets just look toward game 3. Should be awesome.

The did not lose like the Celtics did but okay. The reason the league can get away with what they are doing is because people will turn the other way.

I'm tired of seeing fouls

I'm tired of seeing fouls called on legitimate blocked shots.

The blocked shot is the most exciting defensive play in basketball and the refs calling a foul on clean blocks way too much.

Must be 33% of the time the refs are calling a foul on a clean block.

But 1 thing the refs did good was understanding Perkins' situation and not giving him a quick technical when he got into little shoving match with Gasol before a inbound.

Where were you guys when the

Where were you guys when the Thunder got way more free throws then Lakers. Yea you were saying they played more aggressive then the Lakers give me a break. But I still agree there some horrible calls, why do some fans, when the calls are against there teams like to point them out, but when there in there favor, they act as they saw nothing.
